Hey Guys,

I'll be driving down from Canada to Florida and was curious if you guys know of any decent hotels/motels to stay at. I hate booking a room and finding out its a really crappy area or bad place.

Also if you guys know of any decent places to go visit or good driving roads around there let me know also.

Well not 100% set yet on things, but probably near Winter Garden as thats where fuji racing is and would like to visit him, so there for a couple of days, then drive down to Hollywood and Miami and stay there for another couple of days or so.

I can't wait to get out of the igloo!!!

Hollywood and winter garden you sholdn't have a problem finding a nice hotel. Miami however is full of shitty areas so just depends

 

Well i'm not just worried about a nice hotel, something reasonably priced too Whats the average prices down there?

 

$100 - $150 a night is usually a decent holiday inn

 

The 120 mile drive from Miami, on US 41 across the Everglades to Naples is interesting. You won't have to look for gators. They are all along the canal that runs next to the road. Of course you can also take Interstate 75 across. It's quicker but no where near as interesting. Super 8 right off the interstate is $ 69+taxes per night. The Ritz is ....never mind Let me know if you decide to check out the West coast. We can get together for lunch or something. No night life and not much excitement compared to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, but nice uncrowded beaches and roads (except for the Interstate).

make sure you go to south beach when you are in miami....there are plenty of realy nice hotels there but would need to know your price range in order to suggest a decent place....there are rooms that go for over $15K a night and there are $50 flea bag motels
