the beast lives!! i finished up the haltech install and it started within about 20 minutes of trying. used the trusty old starting fluid trick and it fired right up. except its only running on one rotor, but at that point i had to go, so i wont be able to troubleshoot until next weekend.

and yes chip, as it looks right now we are gonna have the meet at the tuning session.

A bit off topic, sorry, but I got my miata short shifter installed and just got a pic!
Before:

After:

Sorry for the fuzzy photo!
The shifter is a bit tight but it will loosen up. Not a bad mod for $50!

Not far at all. I managed to drain the power steering, and ended up reconnecting the rest of the rat nets, etc. etc. blah blah blah. So the top side of the motor is back together... all that is lacking is the IC crap. Looking for a house kind of got in the way again...

...on that note I already told my gf, that this weekend and the rest of this week is dedicated to the car and not to bug me...

Dude Lacy would kick your *** if you told her "not to bug you". I think the more likely scenario is that she's working all weekend, LOL.

Wassup Eli, long time no see!

That's beside point... your bet was that I didn't tell her "not to bug me"... and I did. In fact, I said, "this weekend and the rest of this week will be dedicated to the Zeta, so PLEASE don't bug me... "

She replied... "that's fine, the sooner you finish with that car the sooner you'll start paying attention to me again."

What's up Eli?

Hey guys, Nice shifter Dj. Thats one of the things I love about my MX5 is the shifter. I love your car and I still say you should put it in a time capsule, but how much fun would that be? Gianni. Keep your mind focused and you will accomplish much.

Thanks Eli. I just had to dremel the bushing on this miata short shifter that I scored on ebay for like $40. That was a much better option than paying for the exact same piece thats designated as RX7 for $175, LOL.
Gianny doesn't know what he's gotten into, asking for my help. By the time I leave there his FD will have a 12A sitting in it!
BTW I just saw a nice black targa 7 for sale in Charlotte, automatic though. My buddy was gonna buy it but then his wife changed his mind and they are going for a bigger deck over the pool instead.

Gianni, as soon as your married, that car is half her's. Why get married? Thats old school!!!!!!!!! Besides, its liberatating to answer to noone but GOD

Dammit, Dj's car is mine. And when you get tired of the FD, Guess who will be there to scoop it up? LOL. Anyways, she is a cool chick, and if you can find someone that has the same values and intrest's, hang on to to her. Nevermind the BS.
