Ok. For those of us that are leaving from Charleston, Columbia, etc. We are meeting on Harbison Blvd behind the Sonic. Be there no later than 8 am. It takes two hours to get to Easley running at a normal pace and late isn't something I like being.

Please have your tank topped off and be ready to go at 8. Leaving with our without you. :P

I should be able to make it by 10-10:30, I'm going to try and get up in time to get to the farm early and get all the feeding done by 9am then head out. Is there a good place to park my car near there? If I'm gonna be riding for several hours I want to make sure it's not somewhere it'll get towed from

He sounded like he was riding out 2nd gear to 9k all the way up the mountain. lol. But it was a very fun day for sure. Got to see some of you low country cats and get out for a nice day of cruising. Very fun. I'll get my pictures up pretty soon but my Hawk HPS pads just came in. I have all 4 brand new rotors to put on as well! haha.

Had fun guys! Hope you guys had a safe trip back.

your right with that 3.90 rear gear everytime i reached for 3rd i was at another corner and needed to be in 2nd again. lol. i put alittle RTV at the base of the fit while i was getting water and its still holding. lol. (had to go to parks t check if they had the part. no luck there.)

also going dwnhill alone ruled. i had the car off was slowing with the handbrake and fighting the powersteering rack with the other. want to go back up sometime just to go down with the car out of gear but on so the powersteering and brakes work.

That was only a little dangerous Glad you actually made it back okay.

Been working all day, so I haven't got the repair vid done yet. Plus it's my birthday, so it might be tomorrow

Had a blast at the meet! Enjoyed meeting everyone. Ride up there was great, got to beat up on Jamin's 2nd gen a little bit. haha. Never been on a mountain run before but i've gotta say i had the time of my life... even those few moments where it could of ended very quickly. It was all fun though and can't wait to do it all over again.

^ Were you the one I heard from Jamin that passed some slow car and a big truck was in the other lane an you got back in your lane in just the nic of time then put two really long tire marks on the pavement?

lol

I remember doing that once, an thinking "Should I do it, or not...ah fuckit, I've got my momentum up.." lol.

Yup. That was me. lol. See the thing was i was having so much fun taking the turns at well over the legal speed limit and the two slow cars in front of us were going at least 5mph under so once i saw a bit of a straight i took it. The two slow cars were a little more spaced out then i thought so by the time i realized that my foot shot down to the floor tacked out 2nd got next to the second slow car saw the big truck comming shifted into third and swung over into my line doing about 80 with plenty of room to spare.. i'd say i had anouther second or two before the truck became a problem. Had a smile on my face the whole time mind you, then i noticed that my straight had become a sharp curve with minimal time to slow down so thats where the tire marks came about slowing down from 80 mph to take a 25mph turn that was 30ft in front of me. But yeah that was probablly the most fun i've ever had that part was just unexpected but in the mountains you have to be ready for anything i guess..

You say you were smiling about it like that was something to be proud of. I guess you really don't have respect for the road until you bite it one good time. That could have ended up really badly and your lucky there was that amount of space to get through.

I'm glad you guys had fun up here but don't think your invisible to eating **** up here when driving enthusiastically on roads you don't know.

First of all i dont think you know who your talking to like that. Respect the road i did i wasnt the only one to pass slow cars. Its not like i told that truck to come around the corner, but i reacted in time and i know i could make it so i went for it. Don't hate becuase i can do things in the RX-7 that you could never do. I would never do somthing i didnt know i could controle the outcome of. I was talking about driving through the mountains in general was fun and i had a smile on my face but i guess you are the type of person that frowns apon enjoying life. Sorry man but if your going to own a fast car you have to realize that there is a VERY good chace your life can end while being behind the wheel. **** you could have died going to work this morning. Anyways before this turns into a fight next time if you have something to say about the way i drive or just me in general, have some ***** and say it to me privatly instead of trying to look like a hard *** and call me out about eating **** on the mountain just because you live up there. You aren't the only one that can handle it and i would appriciate it if you didnt say **** that you wouldn't say to my face.
