SC July meet <<< ? >>>
club?
Hey guys. Do you guys have a club? When do you meet. I am picking up my 88 TII Friday. I have owned an 86 na auto, 89 na 5spd, 90 na 5spd, and a 91 na 5spd. This is my first turbo car and I really know nothing about turbos. I will have lots of questions and would like to meet up with fellow rx7 enthusiasts. My name is Travis BTW

No baby as of yet. We will induce on Monday if needed. Thanks for askin tho.
As for the "Club" it seems to be dwindling, but we do have a few still going strong

How about this Saturday at the Orangeburg Drag Strip? I have a 3 bedroom house with no furniture so carpetted floor space is a plenty. http://www.orangeburgdragstripllc.com/index1.htm Also check out the for sale section. There is a 2nd gen drag car for $7,000
This is short notice but otherwise I would say we do the mountains on the 24th. There is a car auction in Charleston on the 1st.

OK, this thread is lacking direction. How about I go ahead and suggest we plan for the July 31st though August 2nd for a meet. I think the Auction would be fun for car enthusiast and we could represent RX-7's (a future collectible, I am sure of) if we had a good crowd in the parking lot.
Here is the site for the Classic Car Auction: http://www.kruse.com/auctions/charles09/index.asp
I am going to a Clash cover band concert in Columbia at the New Brookland Tavern on Friday night but would be up for anything else on Sunday and Saturday night.

I agree but the 1st I am putting on a paintball event for work, but it is not just restricted to them since I am doing it. Ha ha. Its at Paintball of Charleston if y'all want to come out and get shot. 60 acres and a private party so no Rec ball idiots
Had the Kid that Monday and he is awesome!! Sent Nic a pic.
Hence the reason for lack of direction, but I'm back bitches...

Congratulations on the new little guy, Chip!
I am not sure what the misunderstanding is but I was not suggesting the concert for the purpose of the meet. Just sharing my plans and opening an invitation just as many others have done here. I am in 4 car clubs, national and independent with over 11 years of experience, so I have a good idea about meets and the different types of activities that can be done. I have never been to a car auction but I am confident we could make a great meet out of it. Same sort of thing with a trip to the drag strip, which should be something that you appreciate more than myself. There is plenty of time to hang out and talk during and after events. Talking is great but won't make the most rewarding meets if it is the sole activity. Checking out restaurants is cool and very social. Cruises are awesome. Turning wrenches and hanging out with a club like I did last weekend can be a blast. We need to pick a theme though. Is anyone else up for the auction as the July going into August meet? The July meet seems to be floundering. What I think Jamin was saying is that he would like someone from the Upstate to step up and make it a mountain drive meet.
