short of poriting you can get the light weight pulleys, remove the P/S, AC and air pump, block off the air control valve and get an exhaust to handle the 5th and 6th port actuators ( RB true dual )
and get some solid engine mounts. focus on suspension!

Yeah... anything that can lighten up rotational mass is usually good for freeing up power. But your low end may suffer as a result of too much lightening ... good thing you can Rev the **** out of these ha ha

Heres a little update.

2nd day in Indiana I cracked a apex seal in the front rotor causing the motor and housing to be trashed. It was due to a wastegate hose coming off.

So far I have pulled all my accesories off and got the driveshaft off last night and right now I am having trouble with the 4 foot long metal brace that connects to the transmision and the rear diff. Once I get those 5 bolts the engine will be ready to be pulled and I will wait for my new core to come in and put everything back together.

I have never been more frustrated in my life doing all this work by myself. Ive banged my head 100 times, cuts all over my hands and bruises everywhere, oh and all the grease on the walls sucks to ;-).

**** sucks, but Itll be ready just intime to put her in storage for wintertime, Hope all is well with you guys! I miss you all like crazy.

By the end of December there will be 2 more Rotary Heads in the 912 area code..Myself and my brother in law which will be at Stewart. He is there right now inprocessing at Stewart. He owns a 2004 Rx-8 with the Veilside body kit. Anything going on this weekend? I will be up there helping him move in and we might be driving around during the weekend...

Pulled the motor and it was kind tough to juggle the jack under the transmission and the pulling of the motor, i kept having to go under the vic and move the jack, but finally got it out and moved the car out of the garage and took off the transmission, clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. The counterweight will stay on till I find a 52mm socket.

Now Im just waiting for a new engine and then I will redo this process except backwards!
