I'm planning on going to Deals Gap in April and getting in on the June Mazda Driver's course. So I'll miss the March workshop. I like the Fathers Day thing and besides I can ask for everyone to chip it on the course as a Father's Day gift and Birthday present.

I think Lee was going to try and make the March Driver's Class.

I will probably be shooting for the VIR Driving School in June.

If you guys wanted to see what a 13BREW looks like outside of the engine compartment. Here are a few pics of my old engine when I took it out.

Josh,

I didn't see that post. If you want Rick's email though I'll get it from Jeremy and send it to you in a PM when I can.

That hurts, coming from you Bert, but Im not bitter at all, did I mention that I lost your TPS spring and screw.

So it looks like everyone is trying to make the June mazda drivers event . I have a spare bedroom if any one (Besides Bert) would like to stay here that weekend. J/k.

Trying to torque the cap off a cold one.....priceless.

Man he looks wrecked. We wouldn't get that toasty but you had to have some around to keep the girlfriends happy if nothing else while you worked on 'em.

Hey guys, so I've got my Turbo II engine almost apart. It's down to the core. I've got the flywheel off, but still have the oil pump on, any suggestions on how to remove the front eccentric shaft bolt on the main pully in fron of the oil pump? I need to get it apart to night in hopes I can get it to RotorSports tomorrow to have them streetport it.

Horse, Steve is the TII mechanic, if anyone can advise you on your problem it'll be him. Might want to send Smoken' a PM and see if you can't get him to respond to you quickly. Johny, zooooom, is also in the process of rebuilding his TII. He might also be of some help with your problem. Sometimes it is difficult to get in touch with him since he's now spending a lot of time out honing his driftin' skills.

Also, call Bryan or Rusty at RotorSports, if they are going to be doing your porting then they'll be more than happy to tell you how to get the bolt off. Here is their number right off their website, 704-933-6222.

Thanks for the address Ray. How did the exhaust repair go?

I miss having an engine in my FD. Sometimes I sit in it and make motor sounds. I still havent mastered the whine of the turbos

I try not to drink too much while I work on my car and the girlfriend has to stay away. It is for her own safety more than anything When wrenches start flying and curse words abound it is best to stay away.

There are a couple of different ways to get it off. The easyiest way is to get a good 1/2" impact gun and get it off. If you dont have an impact then you can hold the flywheel by getting a peice of steel and drilling two holes, and then bolting it to the flywheel. Then put a big breaker bar on the front bolt.

Since you have your flywheel off, here's what you need to do. Take the four 10mm bolts out of the pulleys so you can access the main ballencer. Get you a big pipe wrench and put it on the ballencer. Brace it against the floor so it won't turn. Then put a 19MM with a big breaker bar on the bolt and stand on it. It WILL break loose so, be careful that you dont wipe out on your ***. You might have to put a cheater bar on the end of the pipe wrench and breaker bar. Let me know if you have any questions.

Got my TII parts car up on jack stands if you guys need any thing. Car is black, all panels are good except for front bumper, hood, passenger side fender and door. It has most of the interior(blue) minus door switches and carpet. Selling some stuff under the hood, just let me know what you want.

Still running great and stuff. Been a bit busy though, so I haven't got to drive it much and try to continue the break in.

Yep, unless the impact gun fails to move the bolt and when you attempt to use a breaker bar it snaps the socket off and the bolt doesn't move.

Looks good Tyler, keep up the good work!

Batguano, dont have any S5 stuff, sorry...

Sizzler, I haven't run accross one that tight yet. Should have tried an impact socket on your cheater bar, that should have done it. Sounds like you you came accros a tough one. Was that on an FC or FD?
