Hate to ask but... is it getting fuel? When it turns over does it act like it's trying to start or just turning?

We definitely should move locations for the meets, but we will need to make sure we get permission from the business so we don't deal with legal issues.

It's funny cause it did actually run for a second or two a couple times last night, but only when the fuse was pulled, right before it died due to lack of fuel. That leads me to believe it's getting TOO much fuel, haha. I've listened for the pump and it's running when I turn the key, past that I'm assuming it's getting fuel, yes. There were a few times when it acted like it wanted to start, but all other times it was just turning.

BIO3M- I might have some injectors in my garage, I'll have to check. I'm gonna need more pics of the chick in the avatar though, haha.

i am thinking timing. if you have fuel, and you have spark. there are only two things left: timing or compression.

compression like that would mean that both of your rotors went. when mine blew it still ran. ran like crap, but it ran. i just dont know how you could lose compression on both rotors overnight.

so at this point, i am thinking timing. but i was wrong with the turbos, so who the hell knows.

if it looks like that, i wouldnt be caught dead in it. it is an insult to its heritage. (note: so is an LS1 FD, but at least you cant see an LS1 from the outside.)

Oh yeah. I'm doing promotions again this year.

For those who's car isn't running *cough eric cough*, just tow it. At least that way people who come to the show will get to see the typical rotary owners view of their car.
It usually looks similar to this:

Sorry man, it was just too tempting.

I can sign out the timing gun from the shop, I just gotta know how to use it. I've used it before on our equipment, but in the FSM they used an SST that I don't have of course.

I don't see how both rotors would go overnight either. I mean, they still SOUND strong, but run like ****!

Do you still consider crank angle sensor?

Yeah yeah yeah. What show are you talking about, GT Live? By that time I'd better have it running, haha. Whether it's the same engine or a new one, I'm hoping to be there. Although I may have moved bases already, so we'll see. Even if I'm at Charleston, SC, I'll still go with you guys.

If I'm not mistaken, RX-8s had a problem within the last year or so with bad engines, and they're only a few years old! LOL

Hey guy and gals...I'm back in Raleigh again and i'm in need of some assistance. By the way had a great time last time I was here runnin with everyone on the back roads... The guys from Florida bring salutations!!!

Ok here's the issue and I was hoping maybe I could link up with someone who might have some answers for me...

In short when I'm driving above 60MPH and i accelerate the car vibrates so much it feels as if it's gonna fall apart!!!

Now when I take my foot off the gas and just float the vibration goes away...(wierd)

On the other hand though when i coast from 80MPH in neutral the car vibrates again!!! I'm lost here anyone have any suggestions???

ThanX

Dustin

^Could be the same problem darktritium has. I'd talk to him if I were you. I think part of his problem was the driveshaft, which could be your problem too.

BIO3M- Come to think of it, I don't have much for the FC under the hood, mostly just interior and some exterior, but I'll still look. Most of the stuff I have is for the FB. If they use the same injectors I might still be able to hook you up.

In my (somewhat limited) experience, vibration is usually one of two things. It's likely the driveshaft being out of balance or simply needing new u-joints. Another possibility is that the tires need to be balanced, but I think this is unlikely since yours only vibrates when you are giving it gas. Balance problems usually vibrate constantly at a specific speed, but it doesn't matter if you give it gas or not.

^LKQ, what's that? Damn, that posterior is NICE! Wish I knew the name attached to it, as long as it's not your gf or wife or something, haha. Then again, I'm not sure why you'd go looking somewhere for nekkid pics of your gf or wife, maybe you're into that kind of thing? LOL

Yeah, he's either P-Rod or Fil now, haha. And yeah, white FC with hideous exhaust (although I think he got rid of that, but I could be wrong, I haven't been to a meet in a while).

Speaking of which, Booby, you think I could get that milk carton from you this weekend?

That's what I was thinking too Joey. The only thing is, if it's the driveshaft, shouldn't it vibrate even when he's not on the gas? The DS is still turning correct? Or is it just that you feel it more when applying power?

Something else I thought might be MY problem...what if it's a bad ground? Would that have any affect on the way it runs?

You know, not that you mention 'too muh fuel' this starting to sound familiar. On our attempted trip to the cherahala skyway there was an FD that died as we got to Maryville. It was MP5 username. He thought it had flooded so changed the plugs, tried push starting a couple times. Actually got it started by pulling starting with a truck. But even after starting he would have to keep it reved up to keep it started and other that running extremy rough it had little to no power on a slightly inclined road.
From what I read a faulty wiring was causing and issue with his PFC that was causing too much fuel being injected.
This is all information from rotary noob, but from what you've been posting it sounds similar.
PS excuse any typos I,'m posting from work on my phone.

edit: there's a post in the dgrr setion that may explain his issue better.

I'm just shocked you typed out this whole damn thing on your phone, you're a better man than I, haha. I've been thinking about swapping the ECU too, I'm going to do it someday anyway, might as well give it a shot now. There is a GB on PFCs anyway, if I can just come up with the money soon.
