Yeah Matt, that would be awesome! I guess the 8's will rule!!! I think we are looking at meeting at the Smithfield CB on 95 around 6-630 on the the 12th and leave by 745 to be in Goldsboro when we need to. I'll keep it posted!

Yeah it was one of them screw piston things. Have to have pressure on it and turn it in at the same time pita. All the other brakes I have done have worked with this little cube thing that has like 6 diff sizes and shapes but none of them worked on this ****. The back brakes were shot but the front brakes are still more then half there.

GT Live is going to be insane this year. Anyone else plan on going? The event organizers are looking for more people to help work it if any of you guys are interested. I'm doing promotions again this year. I'm thinking about running with Jonny in the lap battle (if Jonny runs again this year) . WRDR.. WE REALLY DO RACE! hahaha.

i dunno. it sounds like you have hookups on a lot of the drivetrain stuff.

a roller that clean is going to run you about ~$7K but if you can get most of the drivetrain stuff for about $4K. then i guess that still leaves about $6 in playing room.

The advantage of his car is it is almost done. it literally only has a couple of weekends worth of work on it.

it looks like it has some suspension done, prob springs since he doesnt list it. the wheels are worth some $$ they are old school.

honestly to build a nice LS1 RX7. i mean with suspension, wheels, brake upgrades, etc. i dont think you can get out for much less than 17-18K and that includes your hookup on the LS1. you might be able to do it for less since you know people. i think those BMW wheels would look hot on a black or montego FD

my one piece of advice is to get the harness done. it will save you headache. he didnt get hinson to do it. there are guys on the swap forum that will do it for you for about $100. IT'S WORTH THE MONEY. (i still have gremlins, nothing major, just little quirks)

FWIW i think everyone should get behind this idea. this gas thing is ridiculous, and it is all corporate greed. we have more oil in reserves than we should. so it ain't OPEC hurting us, it is the refineries/gas companies. they are bottle necking production to artificially raise prices. they have seen that American's will pay $3/gallon. we bitch and complain, but we don't cut back. so why would they lower prices?

Anyhow, stuff like this makes the long-haired hippie in me come out. time to stick it to the man!

craigslist is a joke now. any good deals get 'flagged' by users so others can't see them.

I keep forgetting to tell you guys, I went to a carshow at the Dogwood Festival on Sunday. I have a bunch of pics, just haven't had time to post them up yet. The General Lee was there (I've seen him around Hope Mills), they had a 1907 REO there, and also a 1928 Ford with original engine, interior, and paint (aside from the hood), it was pretty much all original except for the hood. He said the odometer said 2000 but it had MANY more miles on it than that. There was also a nice Cobra out there, the old roadster type, and a bunch of other cool old cars, some of them VERY well restored.
