^NO BERT, that's MY engine!!!!!!!!!! Eric pick up when Eric get money...yes it's another excuse, go ahead and yuck it up Johny, haha. Seriously though, I just want to make sure I go the right route for the money. As soon as I have it though, I'm tearing that engine open and rebuilding it. Helping Victor (he's actually bridge porting his right now) has got me wanting to rip mine open, haha.

I made a big mistake today!
When I went in to gte the inspection done on my car since it was a week overdue. I dedided to take a look at the 06 RX8's they had on the lot. They had a 6 speed Automatic, so I figured I had a little time to waste and I test drove it.
Now I really want one!!! 6 speed auto is so much smoother than the 4 speed 04's.
They had the phantom blue on the lot, That really is an awesom color (the mazda site doesn't do it justice. They didn't have a Stormy Blue Mica RX-*. But they had a Miata in the same color.
Hmmmm, I guess I'm lucky they couldn't find one in stock anywhere with the exact specs I wanted. Otherwise I would have been signing the paperwork right now
We'll see Monday morning what they say it will cost for ordering an 07 with my exact specs.

No Gary, just tell them you want a car swap not just an engine swap! You just can't enjoy your 04 any longer due to all the problems that have been reported. The mental stress and uncertainty over the reliability of the car has caused you to loose sleep, caused undue stress when you are driving the car just listening for any unusual noise and waiting for the engine to blow. You no longer can feel confident in the car and trust it like you once did on long trips and your right to LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS has been severely impacted. After all how can you enjoy LIBERTY without a reliable car and how can you pursue anything, much less HAPPINESS, if you can't trust your car's reliability? The American Dream has been shattered for you and the anguish is almost too much to bear. You need to be made whole and a new Stormy Blue Mica RX-8 with a 6 speed AT would go a long way to restoring your HAPPINESS and allow you to pick up the pursuit of HAPPINESS where you left off.

I just wanted to remind everyone, DI this Saturday, Thunderbirds on Sunday in Goldsboro. I guess on Sat. we'll decide what time to meet at the CB in Smithfield. Gate open at 9am, and parking will be pretty rough, I'm gonna try and scope out a few spots for all of us to park as they have yet to notify us which aircraft parking ramp they will be using. I should know more by the end of the week.

We're counting on you Nic. You'll have a hard time out doing Bobby so how 'bout we get some Rotary only parade laps around the airfield and do some drag racing down the main runway? Any chance of getting to take a test flight with Tarzen in an F-16? Where are the Air Force babes gonna be, Greg is gonna need some personal attention. Can you at least guarantee better weather?

If the gates open at 0900 hrs and it takes an hour to get down there from Smithfield then we'd better meet at the SMITHFIELD CB at 0630 hrs and be ready to leave for Goldsboro around 0730 to make it down for the opening of the gates. Anyway, I like getting up at 5:00 am on Sundays and Diane said she'll be coming with me this weekend. I am going to have to shiney up the GTU for this trip. Yeah!!!

It only takes 20-30 mins to get from Smithfield to the gate. I think a 0700 show time will be just fine, we should roll out of the CB by 0800 and be at the gate by 0830. I'm gonna try and get a group pass so we can just get on base before they open the gates to the public. I know they give out passes for weddings and things like that plus, if we get in a little earlier we should have no problem finding great parking. Remember all, no backpacks or over sized camera bags, leathermans, pocketknives or anything like that will be permitted. Also, everyone must go througha security check point to enter the flight line.

How's near 70 and sunny skies? Cuz that's what it's calling for. Sorry Greg, I can't guarantee any sexy girls in uniform. But I'll try just for you...

Yeah, I thought it was last saturday. I brought a friend with me and when we arrived the joke was on us . I thought where is everyone? So we waited on some 7's and 8's to show up. When none did we turned around and headed home. Thats only after I got home and looked at my calender... DOH! It is next saturday.

Cheers all.

I did make an attempt one week to late and one week to early. It all depends on how you look at it! But I prefer one week to early!

so i cranked the beast today. only for a few seconds, since i didn't have any cooling system, just a hose looped back on itself. she sounds monstrous, but that is probably cuz of the lack of exhaust.

now if only hinson would hurry up this baby would be on the road.

Tsk tsk tsk...did we not learn anything from the LAST time starting without a cooling system??? HAHA.

Victor, I don't remember what pics I'm supposed to send you. I got your email, I'll give you a call tomorrow if I can actually find the time. This is the first time since Monday that I've had time to get on here and I should actually be in bed right now with my narcoleptic ***.
