j/k. I'll post actual details tonight after work. Gotta run. Anyone who has suggestions or any real free time in general PM me. I'll use those ideas to come up with something.

If someone else can think of a better idea, feel free to post.
I'm definitely down for some twisties this weekend but since it'll be up there someone else will have to plan the course. For good measure someone else can plan the time too, haha. If Barb gets to Fayetteville in time she'll be with me...if not, I guess I'll see her when I get home, haha.

We could drive around in northern wake county... on Purnell and Thompson Mill... since we didn't do that last time at the picnic?? I don't have alot of $$ to spend on gas, so if we can keep it in the state, that would be nice.

We could stop somewhere to eat dinner after driving around. I dunno. I'm having a brain fart today. Thought I'd have better ideas for planning a trip, but I've got alot going on tonight.

Twisties in the Triangle, it is! (Greg, isn't that acronym, "T.I.T.T."??) Lmao.

Sounds like a pretty damn good plan to me. What time do we want to meet up and where? I think I remember how to get to Char Grill but that's about the only place I know. If Josh goes I can probably follow him to another spot, other than that I'm lost. I'm OK with directions though if it's easy enough, haha. I can't wait

Well let's meet up at Char-gril at 4. How does that sound? we can make it an early evening thing... I'll map out a driving location, and make copies, so anyone who wants to jump ahead can so they can take the lead. We'll eat about 7:30 or so, so latecomers who just wanna come for dinner can. Where do we wanna eat? Steak? Pizza? Mexican? ...or should I choose that, too??

Newho, whoever wants to come, just show up at char-gril, since that's pretty close to where we can have a lil fun. Too bad the lake's down, we could go fishing/kayaking or something.

I'll brainstorm this afternoon and attempt to make time to post before work. Just meet at Char-grill at 4. We'll go from there.

This will be a fun "****."

Sure... call my cell phone, and set a specific time you are able to meet us somewhere, and I'll put that in the plan.

We will be leaving Char-grill at 4:15. Not too much later, guys... we'll lose daylight.

See you there.

Do you mind having a Miata tag along? Depending on how things go today, I may be able to make it there at 4, and I might drag along my bud (who has a nice T2) to come along with me, as I was going to install a stereo into his car for him. We'd probably take my car though, due to gas economy.

Sure, see you there!

**Route Directions**

Print these and bring them with you, just in case we lose someone.

--Left off Stirckland heading North on Six Forks
--Left on Mount Vernon Church Road
--Straight crossing State Road 1834, the road is now called Pleasant Union Church Road
--Left on Six Forks
--Cross 98, the road is now called New Light Road
--Bear to the Right onto Purnell Road
--Purnell Road for a while (fun road)
--Right on Thompson Mill Road (other fun road)
--Right on Old Hwy 98
--Right on Camp Kanata
--Left on Purnell Road? Right if we want to go back to Thompson Mill and go north of Purnell for more?

At this point, depending on how dark it is, how many deer we see, and what time it is, we can go find more curvy fun roads, or head towards civilization for food.

See you at 4PM. I'm going to sleep now.

those are some fun roads. the wife lives out that way and there are definitely some good twisties and not a whole lot of police action; in case there are some short burst of friskiness. I will try and catch up with you afterwards.

Hopefully it's not too late for y'all to read this, but if y'all would, bring a folding lawn chair with you... we MIGHT not need it, but I have some time-killers for the evening planned if we do have extra time.

GREAT! I am getting off work at 4:00 and will be in Wake Forest about that time, I'll catch ya'll at the Stony Hill VFD annex at the New Light and Purnell intersection. I have a couple of roads y'all should drive. My favorite is called Bold Run Hill off of Purnell.

OoOOooooh... i forgot about that road!! sooo glad you're coming now, Bert! Too bad you can't meet us sooner.

Once we get everyone added onto the caravan, we'll stop by the "empty lake" somewhere and all touch base on the plan.

See y'all there.

Argh, looks like I won't make it. I'd have to leave right now to make it, but I still have stuff I need to do today. Curses!

Too bad i can't make it to ya'lls little drive on the back country roads. I would be more then happy to have lead the thing again. Maybe Johnny could have kept up this time since he has been practicing up at VIR so much. Ya'll have fun and dont get any tickets. Not for speeding of course.

Thanks, but I ended up not getting home until 10. Damn stereo I was installing into Tyler's car didn't want to work, and I was too damned stubborn to admit defeat from a mere electrical device. Then, when I put his stock radio back in, IT didn't work either. Argh!

Well today was a blast... I led most of the time, then I had Bert hop in front since he lives up near where we were exploring. We had a decent turnout, too. Mike showed up with his TII, Beth and Doug in the Shinka, Me in the Yellow N/A, and Eric in the Montego Blue FD. Bert met us at Mary's farm... and then the fun started. The evening was beautiful, cold, and clear. We all stayed in a very general area, but it felt like it was all over the place, cuz there were so many cool curvy roads. SO amazing. We'll definitely be doing it again.

After we went driving, we all went to dinner at about 8, and Josh met up with us when he got off work.

Next time let's try to make the drive a more daytime event, so we won't have to worry about oncoming headlights blinding us on some of those really sharp curves. Otherwise, it was awesome.

I suggest we do a similar type of drive (but at slower speeds, obviously) near Christmas time and look at Christmas lights? What does everyone think of that?

Hell yeah, tonight was a blast! I'd like to get more people next time too, although it was hard enough keeping just the 5 of us together this time, haha. Damn horse trailers and people doing the speed limit!! I would do the Christmas thing but plans right now are for me being home for Christmas...it's been about 7 or 8 years since I've been home for that so I guess it's about time, haha. I'm down for another drive though, and I agree it would be better during the day. I should have brought this up alot sooner so we could all plan accordingly, my apologies. Now I just have to get ready for Deals Gap next year...I know I have about $3000 laying around here somewhere...
