I actually had a good friend who did that and once he got past all the electrical nuances of the dual ECU setup in the rx8 working happily with an aftermarket standalone it ended up being a really nice car. I spent about a month helping him remote tune it, we never ended up with dyno numbers but it was fast enough he decided he didn't want anymore at 18 PSI. I'm always good to help anyone learn to tune who wants to learn, honestly tuning and welding as my favorite side work associated with these cars.

I looked for all my old posts but I guess most were lost when the old versions of the Forum were lost before 2005. Anything older than sometime in 2005 is gone. Sad.
I still have my old 94 BB R2, just needing a great deal of work that I'm just now starting to be able to do. We all used to meet at the Syms parking lot off of Roswell Rd. in Marietta circa 2000-2003. I believe Syms is gone now, and there was also a dyno relatively nearby that people were sometimes giving business to. Just wanted to see how many of us are left 'round these parts.

Thanks Rich! Working on the car is bringing back some great memories from over 20+ years ago when it was the weekend fun time
. Hopefully I can get up to DRGG eventually if you still make the drive too.
