The Return of the Dragon

There has been A little bit of interest in a return trip to Deals Gap from me and my friends. Also a few from SC and TN have showed interest in running the famed Dragon again, sometime this summer. I myself live in NC and I guess my question is..... How many people would like to see another swarm of 7s cookin' through the gap? Obviously it wont be nothing like the DGRR, But it would be fun. Anyways the more the better. I smell a road trip!!!

Been there done that... that's the reason my TII didn't make it to DGRR2005. Had to take the Supra because there was a fountain of fuel spewing from my engine bay at 8am Saturday morning. July sounds good but I'll be in NY the first week.

Yeah, I took mine this year. I knew the PD was going bad but it was only the occasional drip. Now its 2 drips per second and Im going to freshen up a few things while I have it apart. June or July, either one is fine with me. BDs in July. By the way, what kinda Supra?

Wow, that's pretty bad. Mine was only vapor when I decided to banjo bolt it. I had a friend who's car caught fire and we never even saw it drip, just smelled fuel.

My Supra was a 3rd gen non-turbo, tan and brown two-tone. It went *knock knock knock* so I sold it last summer.

Hell ive smelled gas for two years, only realized it was whats leaking by accident.
Was showing a friend my engine one night and seen it dripping with a flashlight.
I get paid monday and Im going to cruise to the Mazda dealership and pick up the part. My friend Keith (88 AE TII) is going to help w/ the install since he has all the tools. Then I'll be ready to go!!! Maybe new injectors while im there.

Might wanna cruise there in another car! I was unable to find the part at Mazda... did you just order a new factory FPD? It's a really easy install.

okay that should be it then. Be advised that they go bad again over time, even new Mazda ones. I just blocked mine off with a banjo bolt.

I was told that without the dampening, that it could affect older injectors by holding to much pressure somehow. Hell I dont know, I thought about running a bolt in it myself, but I figure a new one will last a few years.

Yeah, that's most likely true. I took the risk and bolted mine anyway. Haven't any issues in 2 years so I'll assume I'm safe.

Hows Charleston these days? Warm I bet. Im actually heading that way Friday 5/25 to spend the weekend at the beach. Maybe go to the Aquarium and the USS Yorktown. I love the mountains but Im ready for some sand and surf for a few days. If you Know of any cool things to do or see let me know. Later, Eli

I say lets keep with the original plan, and shoot for the the weekend of 6/16. I just got home with my Pulse Dampinr' and will most likely have it installed within the week, So im down for whatever. That gives us roughly a month to save and plan. I would like to stay at the Lodge this time, and if we get a date nailed down, I'll go ahead and make my reservations on a room. Anyways if you still want to do this in June its fine by me, whatever works best for you guys.
