Hey Turbo II, Can you look into the future and see whats up on the weekend of 7/27/07?

 

If you look, every weekend of the summer is busy. I'm down for the 16th as that's the original date that DJ and I were planning on.

I'm picking up a new IC Wednesday, and will start installing it Thursday night. My fuel injectors have been replaced, and will finish that up Thursday night as well (waiting on some injection insulators). The ones that I had were deteriorated beyond salvage!

Yeah it really doesn't matter when you go anymore. There's gonna be a crowd... just that weekend a crowd of mopeds haha! Hell I'd be there with you guys if I could though!

Actually, we (DJ, Andy and I) only ran into (not literally) one moped(er?) on the dragon and he was flying down, he was going a fair pace. Once it was safe, he even moved out of the way for us. At the end of the run, we caught up to us about 3 or so mins later and we just BSed for a bit. kewl guy. I have no problem sharing the road with them if they are all (or most) like this one guy.

 

I agree, Prolly wont deminish my spirit to get behind a scooter or two, I'll most likely get up about 5:30 one morning and go through the gap before any traffic develops. If you want to greenlight the weekend of the 16th, I'll make my reservations at the Lodge. Get the Columbia to Deal Gap crew geared up, and we will have a great weekend.

 

Theres not a lot of availability left at the lodge, a few cabins left. So if anyone is still interested we should think about other arrangements. The Phillips Inn is a cool place to stay, big fire pit and plenty of parking. just an idea!

 

Ooh! I heard about the Dragon Run through the people that run the motorcycle museum where my girlfriend works. Sounds like fun. Hope I can get my POS fixed up in time.

Good luck with that... I've gone up there at 4am and at sunrise a few times and always seen at least one car. Last time I went at sunrise I ended up tailing a pack of Minis in the rain.

 

One or two cars isn't considered traffic to me.

 

Just put my brand new pulse damper on today, not a moment to soon. Hoping my fuel mileage will improve LOL. Sounds like there is still some interest in the Dragon!?! Havent really given it much thought lately and dont know if I can get off work now. Oh well, I guess I'll have to quit. Anyways, give me some feedback and let know who is still interested. I was kinda hoping to do a few things to my car before the next trip over there, but hell it's whatever.

I cant go, I say we put it off till the fall.. leaves changing color, nice cool weather, time for me to upgrade my turbo.. I know a few of the SC guys' cars are in need of parts installs, etc. this way everyone will have a doable date to shoot for

Unfortunately, my car has developed a case of the coolant leaks and I'm having some electrical problems... (as most who saw in my car could attest by my make shift ghetto fabulous starter toggle switch). So, I wont be able to make it it seems.

 

Since this date is upon us I have to agree, let's wait til the fall, hopefully our cars will be put together and the temps are cooler, leaves are changing, etc. Eli are you coming to 7/7/07 in Savannah?

 

lets keep a fall date, wanna go to try my newly bought FD! give the dragon a run before the meet next year so im not a total newbie. just now getting used to it, not scared as hell of it anymore so party in fall!
