Here's another hint. If Ted Kennnedy had been driving one of these on July 18th 1969, he just may have been president!

now an amphicar would make a nice candidate for a rotary swap.

i remember an episode on my classic car where they talked to a guy that owned one. they really didn't steer well in water being as they actually used the front wheels to steer. with a rotary in it, u'd have to devise some sort of fin in line of the props to aide in steering. but it was a site to see, drive up to the lake and right into the water.

Those look like fun but not what I'm doing. It will have 4 wheels and be rear wheel drive.

Another hint: They been in production for almost 50 years world wide.

So today is my last day at the farm.... Not.

I'm leaving today, but Labor Day weekend I am coming back for a day or two...then starting Sep. 11th, I'm back here for another week or so. Of course I'm getting paid handsomely, but still... I just miss my own cat!

Car still looks like ***, btw...

And Holly, I like your new signature! It's cute.

I think Tim has been smoking a little too much herbie lately. Tim are you nuts? You gonna put it in front or in back? Or maybe a little mid engine action, a 12A in the back seat?

I think Mike has a better idea, a rotaryhovercraft:

This could be one of our future OG@TA meetings:

Ray, I'm thinking 140whp and 36-40 mpg with a stock port 12A.

Beetles are about 5-600 lbs lighter than 7s and a whole lot cheaper and easier to get parts for em. I've worked on beetles before and I love the instant, cheap boost in performance I can get from a rotary. Plus it fits right in there. Just have to do some plumbing for the radiator up front and mount the radiator. I have a start on the engine and once I get the beetle roller for the project I'll start a build thread up on it in the Other Rotary section. I'll keep yunz posted on my progress.

BTW the Xroads meet thread is still on top by 400+ posts

Tim, you better not bring that rotarybug to any OGTA meets. I am not sure the super computer we use for calculating 12A equivalents will know how to count that hybrid.

Ray, you'll have to teach me how to post pictures some day.
