Ray, are you implying that Mikes car is a girlie car like a miata? I wouldn't let Ray
get away with this Mike, after all how long has the white one III been a non-running
project?

The brake booster and clutch master are coming off the firewall this afternoon so I can paint the engine bay.

Maybe drop the Train Wreck 12A in there this weekend, if I can get my brush burned first.

And Tim, I didn't say girlie. More like Barbie, with those RX-8 seats in there.

Not nice

I do share the same taste for the color and the functionality and look of the RX8 seats.

I think Elvis had Tender Blue Metallic Shoes, or something like that.

I have to keep the RX-8 seats, Ray. The girls love them, and you asked me to bring you a date to DGRR.

Dang, I forgot.

Since you only have two RX-8 seats and your butt needs to be in one of them, you'll need to leave your date at home.

That's real kind of you Mike, thanks!

The Elvis thing was "love me tender, love me blue" or something like that.

The song reminds me of the Blue One, for some reason.

Dang, Mr. Tools, that's an FC. We're going to have to think about that one.

I'll call a meeting, hopefully your membership will be retained.

Maybe Brett has something nice to say.

Well group I jumped the gun. The FC that should've happened got taken out at the knees, literally. Long sad story but right when I was making plans to go to jersey I tweaked my left knee late one night taking the trash out at my shop. It made a sound but I didn't think it was a big deal. Woke up the next morning I couldnt bend my knee without screaming. Saw primary DR who sent me to a orthopedic surgeon and yep!! I tore my miniscus. It just stopped the whole process. Waiting for surgery date. Can't even drive the FB. Real bummed. Since I'm preparing for a move to Savannah soon my priority is to get healthy for my new employer. The bucket list black FC will have to wait till I'm settled in GA. Damnedest thing is that FC was just the way I wanted it. Really disappointed. Good news I still have the five letter and y'all get to see it soon. Hoping to be back to the world of crutchless walkers soon.

Dang Mr. Tools, you're too young for that kind of thing to be happening.

The Rotary Gods work in strange ways, I wonder if this was their way of steering you clear of that FC?

In any case, Georgia is the place to buy cars, none of that rust and abuse you get with Ohio roads.

Do get well soon, take it real easy and let that thing heal.

Well Ray theirs years and miles. I gotta few on me. Perhaps you're right about the rotary gods. It's still in jersey, still for sale. With the knee it's just bad timing. When I get settled in down there, 2 months I estimate, my quest for a black FC TII is back on. thank you kindly for the positive vibes and well wishes. You may know a friend of mine here in Ohio, Dave, mazdaverx713? Hoping to make his spring get together before I leave.

Don't worry about it Mr. Tools, we will find you the best black FC in Georgia, it'll make that Jersey unit look like a rust bucket. I'll put Brett in charge of finding you a good one.

URGENT!!!!

I need to get in touch with Roland Greaux ASAP, if anybody has contact info or can call him and have him contact me (706-658-5538) please do so ASAP.

It's important!!!!!

$7300.00 not flawless but it seemed to meet the criteria. It wasn't for sure till I saw it in the flesh. Check out classified forum. It's still there. The back story on it sounded reasonable, the pics appeared acceptable, traded texts with owner, he seemed credible. Miles, color and just enough stock about it that I wanted it pretty bad. Just bad timing with this crutch and a swollen knee.

The bay is just about ready to paint, but I'm still trying to figure out what paint to buy and how much to get a close match to the original Formula White (83) or Dover White (84/85).

Andy from Virginia suggested this vendor:

http://www.tcpglobal.com/Automotive-...utm_creative=p

tcpglobal suggested using 1 gallon of paint IN Acrylic urethane ($119.96) and 1 quart of hardener ($44.96) plus shipping. Does this sound right?

Also, check out this mint red leather 84/85 steering wheel on ebay:

Yeah Ray, you don't have to paint it to bring it to DGRR. Get it running and driving, then drive it!

Yeah, Ray, get that thing running and make sure everything works before you go to the effort and cost of paint. A good shake down trip to DGRR is the way to go, before you do the cosmetic stuff.

Mr. Tools, good luck with the knee!

No way I'm putting the Train Wreck 12A in that dirty old engine bay. It needs to be spotless.
