Haha Rotor Motor would be great but I'll stay original for a little while.

You can come get it as early as tomorrow. I'd say today but in 30 mins I'll be at work all the way until 10:00 tonight.

So Chris, now you have to sign up for Zoom-Fest. And get to talking about it on the Miata Forum to get others signed up. Time's a wasting.!

Hope you're back to normal soon, man. If you need a ride anytime after surgery for whatever or just want someone to keep your FC running, I'm a phone call away We wouldn't want Wanda to have to sit, now, would we?

I did the timing belt/water pump/etc on our 2002 MP5 yesterday, which as I understand it has the same engine (2.0 L dual overhead cam hemi) as the Miata. Not as easy as working on a 12A, but very doable.

I'm beginning to like that boinger, might get a miata myself someday. Might even put a 12A in it.

Well here she is. All she needed was a front 02 sensor and a few thrust bearings.

I have been invited to come out to your July gathering, and meet a few of you before ZoomFest 2010. I am going to try my best to be there, and look forward to meeting some new rotary folks.

Maybe we could have a "Special Events" OGTA meeting featuring FE's (RX-8's) since the last meeting was for FC's. Hope you can make it down trhoads.

That's a cool idea Ray. Feature a different rotary car each month. Of course it would take 16 FEs to equal 2 FBs ..

I think I should have no problem getting there, all depends on work load, and work at home. I think it would be nice to meet a few of the folks I don't know, prior to Zoom Fest, put faces and names with cars, talk to those that will be there for the event.

It would be fun to have a few of the 8's come out, I bet I could get a couple of the owners to join in, we have a very active group of RX-8 owners in the Atlanta area. One of the most track addicted groups in the country.

Alex, you had it towed to a shop for a clutch problem/replacement?

You could have asked Brett or myself. We're quite good at swapping clutches ^.^

I have an announcement to make, guys..

There is simply no way I will be coming to Zoom Fest this year. I could go and simply not run the track event, but that more or less defeats the purpose for me. The only chance I have at going is if I sell this Maxima outright, buy the car I need, and have money leftover after getting it registered and all that.

As for selling the Maxima, I have even gone as far as to put a For Sale sign (A big one) in the window with a printed sheet of details, blah blah blah. One would think that a car where everything works, including the sweet A/C, being the super comfortable, powerful set of wheels that Maxine is, she would sell more easily.

Though as I have been thinking, and Kristy pointed out... Who wants a luxury sedan with a REAL transmission in it? People want slush boxes in this country.

If I end up having to drag it to Vermont with me, it should be really easy to sell and I'll probably even get more money out of it. Rust-free, affordable cars with manual transmissions up there seem to sell more easily according to my friends.
