Lots of rotors

Speaking of shitty luck, I drove down to Mableton to get that hood and a few other parts and the girls dad decided he didn't want to part out the car anymore (even though the passenger rear is smushed in all to hell), but rather save it to maybe swap motors into another car and use parts from that car if the new one needed anything.
So 2 1/2 hours of driving plus $15 in gas gone... Stupid people. Get your crap straight before someone drives that long to get to your house.

I would've gone off on him and asked for the gas money you blew due to him wasting your time.
Chris, personally, I've never been a fan of resurfacing rotors...you're going to spend the better part of new ones from NAPA or R.A. unless you've got a buddy who will do them for free, so... Up to you, but I personally just prefer to replace them. That's assuming you've warped them...?
Brett, what time are you coming tomorrow...?

I've got Thanksgiving with my Mom and bro's at 11, then again at my aunts at 3, so if ya'll are doing yours towards the evening I could swing up there and say hey.
I tried calling your house phone to talk to your Mom but noone answered. If it's cool, I'll totally come up tomorrow evening around 5 and eat your leftovers and just chill

Another reason I was thinking to go the resurfacing route, is because the brakes are in pretty good condition and won't need uch material removed at ALL. Also I can try to get a shop to do both rotors and the flywheel for a package deal type of thing.

You too Ben
"That REPU chunk is bigger than the hole is needs to come out of"
This doesn't make any sense. How'd they (or, more specifically, Roland) get it in there?
Hey dudes, this stuff worked, cut the oil control problem in the Silver One (smoke at start up) from 1 qt/500 miles down to nothing.

Ray, I haven't voted in your poll, but I've put the stuff into the SE. She gives a good puff of blue smoke on startup, so I'll see how she does and will vote appropriately.

Crit, I hear you went and got that screen protector for your iPhone.. Andrew nearly attacked me when I stopped by Best Buy tonight. lol Apparently he was supposed to be leaving when you came in or something...I was just like: Uh, sorry about your luck dude...you're welcome for the referral. - Then I walked inside lol
He's such a douche...
Anyways.. I have an announcement to make!
Using spare change I collected from cleaning my disaster of a room, I drove to Home Depot and picked up two sheets of acrylic to cut new speaker mounts for the rear speakers. The original mounts are like two years old and I made them out of the bottom plastic of a rubbermaid box...so...needless to say, they were busy disintegrating and one of my speakers was starting to sag. To add to that, I couldn't use the speaker covers because the plastic was too thick and the tweeter would hit.
While the edges of the new mounts are rough, they're not visible, so I don't care about sanding them down. I'd show you pictures....but...well yeah, I don't think like that so there are none. Sorreh...
Meanwhile, on the other side of town... I saw Colin tonight at Wal-Mart! Well, he saw me and Kristy, and shortly after we entered Wal-Mart, I found myself with a skinny blonde wrapped around me tight enough to term it a heavy coat... It was like..he came out of nowhere and all the sudden someone is latched onto me. Thankfully I'm not easily startled or I might've dropped his *** lol

REPU diff is out and replaced. North Georgia Speed Shop got it done! Out with the 3.30 gearset, in with the 4.63. 40% more gear overnight! Thanks guys.
By the way, before anyone gets excited about that 12A, it won't bolt to SA/FB trannies, requires a totally unique waterpump, and uses a top-mount starter. Don't anyone think it'll bolt into your FB.

Chris, the good news is that SPI is not really gone. She's parked in a guys yard in Jefferson until the price of scrap metal goes upm which could be a year or two. So if you are having any second thoughts, we can probably get her back...
Sorry you can't make the Dec. meeting, I'll take lots of pics. Speaking of which, what would you guys say to moving the meeting time up a bit to take advantage of what little sunlight we have this time of year? Say 5:30-6:00?
Congrats on that differential replacement Crit, I'm curious about how it affects the REPU's performance. "More gear" means a higher 4th and 5th, so better cruising? And the low gears are the same, for better torque? Is it working the way you hoped it would?
