Don't confuse ALEX Lopez with CARLOS Lopez. Do a search on this forum and I think you'll find the good remarks are about CARLOS. Carlos owns CLR Motorsports and is a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable rotary mechanic. He did the balancing on my 3 rotor and has also built several 4 rotors. I don't think you'll find many good comments about ALEX.

Carlos Lopez isn't the cheapest, but he is one of the very few guys I would send my car to. You'll know he does the job right if you go to him.

Scanned the list briefly..
Didnt See this one.
Jah Works Automotive
5001 W colonial Drive
Orlando FL 32808
(407) 299 3447 Ask for Brian
I drove past there and they has a white FD for Sale i stopped to talk to him and asked who did the rebuild and he said he does his own rebuilds for his race cars.
any way he swapped the engines out and didnt charge too much. and he is Flexible on the price especially for fellow rotorheads.
They did my engine swap in 2 days. for a real cheap price.
They Have a couple of 7's that they race

I've just read this entire thread trying to find a trustworthy and reliable rotary mechanic in Jacksonville. I've seen a couple like Revolution Racing and Jax Motors, but then seen posts about no good mechanics in J-ville. Does anybody have a better knowledge about any good mehcanics in this area that I can take my S5 to and know everything will be exactly as promised?

I'll now probably get flamed from those few who claim to be rotary experts here in Jax but so be it. PM me and I'll share y experiences with you and I'll also show you the big $$ invoices from the shops here in Jax for work I then had to get fixed elsewhere.

I just had my engine worked on by at kilos speed shop in orlando and I wanted to say that they did an excellent job repairing my 3rd gen engine. I recommend them over any other place in Florida. Also noted that I brought my car to two other places before him to get it looked at, and both places quoted me 1,000 dollars more then what he charged.

I think it's time for a little updating here... or at least a HOLY Crap these two people have lost their minds.
Nick from N-Tech Engineering in Winterhaven, FL after waiting nearly a week for him to get back to me, and then another week for him to actually get me a over the phone/email quote he wants close to 3 grand for a basic rebuild. And he really acted like he wasn't interested in doing it.
Then Mike From ISC in Winterhaven at first I felt like he was trying to be-little me, so i started telling him about what I've done and what I was looking for and he referred back to my orginal email about Nick from N-Tech being way over priced... he basically laughed and said he would charge 3000-3500 for a rebuild. I said with out it being ported? Yes... That was what he would charge to pull it rebuild it and put it back in. He proceded to tell me that the parts were "hard to find now" and thats why they were so expensive So I mentioned a guy in tennessee who rebuilds them for a fraction of the cost and he got crappy and said well you should go through with him because he's just crazy to do it for that price. lol So then i said what if I pull the motor.. he cut me off and said nope i don't do that any more...
WTF??? are these people just independantly wealthy and they don't need buisness or want people to go to them?? I tried to support my local rotary people and look.. Apparently these people do not know how to use the internet...
