I swore I put this shop on the list.

The owner is a rare breed and its a 1 man shop so he is the only one working on your car. Any of you that were at the National Mazda Day event this past weekend may have seen the Black TII with the vented hood and the 13B-REW Swap.

This man did the swap, not only that he made all kinds of custom parts for the swap. He is always coming up with really cool ideas and putting them into our cars. He revamped my cooling system and now my car never goes over 180.

He makes some really cool go fast parts that are totally custom and 1 of a kind, like ported throttle bodies, cold air intakes for FD's, ported intake tracks. He also makes a rear diff brace for FC's, after breaking 2 of my rear diff mounts and then putting in his brace, no more broken mounts.

His shop is called

Just Racing Fabrications
he is in Port St. Lucie Florida right off the Turnpike.
His name is JR and his number is
(772) 343-0510

He is honest to a fault, and will not rip you off, if your into using old parts for rebuilds and "just getting it together until the next rebuild" do not bother with this guy unless you want to buy the crappy old parts he will not put into our cars.

Remember he is a one man shop and does all his work custom and himself. He is not fast he is not the cheapest, but if you want it done ONCE and done right he is the man to go to.

He has been messing with Rotaries since the late 70's road racing 1st gen RX7's and setting up customers cars.

He also makes custom roll cages that compliment the cars by adding rigidness to it picking up on its chassis weak points and stiffening it up.

Thanks Jim, talked to him this morning and he sure sounds like he knows his stuff. He asked how did I find him & I said your name he said you just walked out with a 400hp 87 rx7, congrats~ Later this week ill visit him to start getting the parts for my swap.

Unfortunately not. The one that used to be here got shut down because the owner was arrested. I would take the car to Miami - pm crispeed on the forum and ask him where to go. He might be able to do the work or maybe Carlos Lopez.

Good luck.

Fighters Garage in Pensacola has moved over to Palafox Street and have gotten a much larger work area with an 8 stall garage , and 4 lifts now I think ... there are also now 3 great Mazda mechanics ( ALL RX7 owners for a LONG time ) ... they do custom fab work (welding) , swaps , you name it , they can get it done ... http://www.fighters-garage.com/

Phone: (904) 298-0005

I'm not quite sure who runs Speedfab (you can contact them by pm'ing "speedfab" on this forum) but I would not have anyone in Jax work on your car. Take it from me, a guy who has lived in Jax many years and who bought his FD new here in 1994. I've had very bad experiences from the Blanding Blvd. mechanics. Not saying these are the same guys though but I wouldn't risk it.

Send your car to Carlos Lopez or Chris Hill (crispeed) in Miami or aks them for suggestions of someone closer.

Seems like every shop has their pluses and minuses as well as their own fans.

When I cant get in touch with either Douglas or Andres to help on my FD, I try to use Edgar at Mazdapros 305-665-8525. Nice guy.

man im here at work, ive read this entire thread, really interesting seeing the pros and cons on these shops, considering that those that work at the shops have written back in defense, big up

i live in melbourne, im pretty sure there arent any shops around here, so im thinking that orlando is my best bet if i were to let someone work on my s5, doing the research im considering checking on centralfloridaturbo.com, has anyone checked on the shop that provides that website?

2fastautosports is where i got my car work done at. They were awesome. They helped me out and gave me advice if i ever had a problem. They did a rebuild on my new motor which i have had on the road for around 15,000 miles and not a problem yet. Great guys to work with both Robert Santiago and Giovanni. I highly recomend them.

Steve Kan tuning

Hey, anybody in the south Florida area wanting to get Steve Kan to tune your car?
I have 3 confirmed people. 1 in Fort Lauderdale and 1 in Miami and myself. I need to get 2 more. I will probably do it at a dyno off of I-595 and University. I already spoke with the owner of the shop. If we get 8 or more cars dyno time is $80/hr otherwise it is $100/hr. It is a load bearing dyno which could potentially give you a better tune plus Steve has been there before so he is familiar with the place.

If you are ready to get tuned then give me a call at 786-313-8448. Leave a message as I am in meetings allot.

Here's the link to Steve's website which includes types of computers he tunes and prices.

Orlando: Great Shop Experience

2Fast Autoworks did a Super job on my clutch install and downpipe install. Very helpful with other questions as well. 2Fast has a 13b drag car that's based in PR, shop has a bigscreen where you can watch 3camera videos of the cars' runs. Very Impressive.

Robert Santiago and Giovani were both very good to work with. Heck, eveh Robert's wife used to drive a 7.

They have a website and are located off 436 just off Hanging Moss Rd.

Don't confuse ALEX Lopez with CARLOS Lopez. Do a search on this forum and I think you'll find the good remarks are about CARLOS. Carlos owns CLR Motorsports and is a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable rotary mechanic. He did the balancing on my 3 rotor and has also built several 4 rotors. I don't think you'll find many good comments about ALEX.
