I didn't. Oddly Enough, no rice would even come close to my car. I wonder why? But, there were plenty of onlookers that would watch and drool. Some revved their engines, but between James' and mine, we would more than drown them out - then they stopped

Is it safe to assume that the pictures of my '79 shooting flames out the tailpipes did not turn out? Or am I just missing them?

Anyway, thanks to lisa for taking those wonderful pictures!

Figures. Oh well, next time we'll be ready!

Speaking of next time. If we are gonna do this in another 6-8 weeks, then it would be wise to go on and plan the date so everyone can be sure to be here! I'll go on and throw in that as long as it is on a Saturday, I'll be able to make it! Some time in late October (20th +) will be best for the mountain scenery (leaves change colors = gorgeous views!!).

What kind of job are you looking for? Maybe you should try to find a job that pays with money AND RX-7 parts!

Hey I am just looking for a job that pays money I am not going to push my luck.
I know a guy at BMW plant he is one of theyr head people he sead when ever I had my stuff that I need together just give him the application and he would se what he can do.

P.S. I found a 1980 SA in really good condition the guy will sell it to me for a $1000 it needs engine but theres only couple small paches of rust and the interior is good it has like 249K on the clock but the body is still good he has gold mesh wheels on it front rear spoilers full exhoust no AC or air pump and it also has a rebuilt transmision so Im thinking whre to get the money from.

Yes it is safe to assume the pics of the flames did not work as well as the thought. It was just too quick to get. We tried to anticipate but it did not work out.

Enjoyed the drive and meeting everyone.

Don't worry about the pics, that happens. It is my fault because I should have taken the camcorder. Next time, I'll try to plan ahead and bring the camcorder. Speaking of which, does anybody know how they mount those things in the car - like a kit or something? Or is it something you have to rig up yourself?

I hear BMW is an excellent place to work. I hear you usually have to work 50+ hrs/week, but the pay is great and the benfits package is awesome! At least, that is what they tell me! And good luck with the 1980 SA!

HEY! You leave my duck tape alone!

I was actually thinking of something a bit more creative. But whatever I come up with, I'll make a how-to write up. And I promise that it won't involve a whole lot of "southern chrome" Plus, You'll get to see it at the next meet!

This time Skylance look forward to the new meet. I hope I am there this time and the FD is safely there, I sold my FC to a guy who bought it for $4,000 so I am going to upgrade my FD with that money, engine first then the rest later.

I also just ordered my new pair of headlight covers. I think I am going to screw them down at the base to keep them from wanting to take flight when going down the highway .

Keep me posted on the new meet schedule.

Well I am going to do the reliability mods first and formost. Also get a BOV to replace the stock recirculation system. Then Auto to 5 Speed conversion. Boost, Oil, Water Temp, A/F, Knock sensor Guages.

If money is still available I want to try to convert to '99 spec front bumper with lights and '99 spec tail lights with '99 spec twin turbos only if money is existant.

I am trying to sell my '85 GSL to get more money for the FD.

with the money from the GSL I will get a Power FC with Commander. Apexi Titanium Catback Exhaust.

My only problem is I don't know how to install these modifications at all and I don't want to risk blowing the engine becouse I do somthing wrong.

My honest opinion of the FD is, FD=Women. She is a Money hog but I love her anyways.

well most of the modifications like exhoust and guages you can actually do yourself without big problems if you have just a little understading in cars plus all that stuff comes with lots of instructions witch are mostly pictures so it is preaty easy to figure it out.
