Dunno how long everyone plans to chat seeing as most of them wanna run the gap, so if you're up for that it'll probably be an all-day thing. I think I should make it at some point... in whichever car feels like starting.

Well, I just got out of jail for wreckless endangerment. The car went sideways then unstable and started fishtailing in front of a cop. So provided I don't go back to jail. Hopefully I'll be at the next meet.

Ouch Eric, how in the hell did you get the vert of all things sideways?

But yeah Brillo, a gap run would be nice for the next meet. Though I think my primary injectors are fucked up, its wanting to buck and stall at low rpm's. So im gonna try and find a pair of stock primary's and upgrade to a pair of 720's for secondary's as well as put in a new fuel filter and put the Walbro in finally.

Derrick, I wasn't trying to get it sideways I was just making a turn.. This is the second time it's happened this bad. Only last time it was wet outside. My arainment is Monday. So does anyone know what's probably going to happen of this. I really think it's because I don't know how to do clutch work right and when it starts going sideways I freak out and try to fix it by countersteering too hard and gassing it. I understand how to do get out of oversteer but knowing and doing it is different. I'm just kinda freaked out now about the whole situation becuase I've never been in trouble and I think reckless endangerment (if it doesn't get dropped to something lower) is a felony which means I have to report it on jobs and I can't vote or own a firearm and everything else that people that have been in prison can't do. It's really silly, I just lost control of the car get it back and continue on. And I get such a hard charge. One that they told me was a $30,000 bail. They eventually dropped it to 3k then 1k. Until they said they'll just sign me out and I won't have to pay a bail just to make sure I come back for court. So, am I losing my license? *sigh*

Damn Yeti, that's ridiculous. Our system sucks. How long have you had your car? If you haven't had it long, I'd tell them that you're new to driving a standard and that you let the clutch out too fast and lost control. I wouldn't worry too much, if you've got a clean record then a felony charge for losing control of your vehicle isn't going to stick. It's not like you were doing donuts on the interstate.

I'll try and get some pics and videos from the meet up later tonight...

Yeah, just inform them that this is your first manual equiped vehicle, that it has less than 180hp, weighs 2900+lbs before adding you, and that you might need new tires. The fact you had the car for a short time is a good indication that you can get outta it witha small ticket for excessive display of horsepower...which i find to be utter **** myself. If i had 200hp and barked teh tires...thats one thing...500+ hp of course im gonna display that ****.

So who was the mystery red S5 vert? I wonder if he even noticed that 3 RX-7's were following him. Mystery Vert owner...

RX7CLUB KNOWS ABOUT YOU!

Should I start a new thread for the pictures and stuff? This one is a bit past its expo date.

**** man, is there something wrong with your car? I mean im not trying to be an *** but there has to be something seriously wrong for you to get out of control while "just making a turn," unless you were trying to do something smart anyway.

I think it's the tires on it. and the fact that I really have no clue how to drive stick. I mean yeah I can go but outside of going I'm terrible at it.. my takeoffs are either with the engine almost stalling, newbish where the car shakes, decent, or spinning tires.. It's definately not the first time i've been sideways from panicking once it starts.. Sure normal people would brake or something.. I for some reason floor it to fix it.. I'm not saying I'm innocent I'm saying I'm just inexperienced.. I probably have only drove the car maybe 2000 miles.. and about half of that is highway where you drive straight and don't shift. I'm just now getting to where I can do hills. I'll take any cops in morristown out on a drive with me and they'll see it's jsut inexperience and not me trying to show off.. I don't want to wreck the damn car I just got it and it's rare, being a vert even rarer.

Well then, bring the registration to court and show them you just got it and don't have the hang of it yet. If your tires are bald, a picture of those might help too. Assuming the judge isn't an *** and listens to your case.
