I77 & I40 Crossroads rotary meet
Well Sam I got that guys car to my house tonight and got the engine pulled out and it couldnt have gone any easier haha, only spilt a slight bit of coolant!!! :P Tomorrow I guess ill put the other one in. Anything I need to swap over from the old engine? I know I gotta swap the beehive over.....anything else?
yup, I moved to Lynchburg VA in early July for an engineering position with AREVA. The people in this little city don't kno what to make of the 7, they almost seem too intimidated to race me
. Anyways, I'm less than 3 hours from Charlotte so every now and then I come back on the weekends to chill so I'll line it up with one of the meets one of these months. Saturdays work out perfect for me too.

Sounds good, hopefully ill have the new engine in tonight and if i can get the tank drained and some decent fuel pressure see if she will fire up! oh ya and get the coolant drained and refilled haha
Well the new engine went in........with a fight!!! i fought with this M#%$@!F*^$%R for like two hours tryin to get the trans and engine lined up.....but after that all was good haha. maybe ill have some fire in it tonight
gotta drain the oil, drain the coolant, and drain the fuel and pray there's no rust

And we have ignition!!!!! after pouring gas in the carb hahahaha. Sam....I need that accelerator pump
. gotta replace the oil filter pedastal o-rings, replace a locked up water pump, and do some adjustin on the carb and she should be ready to idle properly
Edit: and replace the accelerator pump diaphragm

will do! I encountered another problem though......I encountered an extra exhaust port that i forgot about apparently.....HUGE exhaust leak hahaha it sounds like ****. and I think at one point I saw coolant running from bottom of the intake at the center? o-rings? kinda strange and i may have overfilled the radiator haha. but I got her idling pretty smooth now and all my leaks are fixed
but like i said i need that accelerator pump to make cold starts go smooth

Kory, you can only use a SA intake on a SA center iron engine. You will have to use a FB intake if the center iron has the EGR port below the center iron itake ports.
The meet is 6 pm today fellas. I hope everyone can come out!!!!!!

The intake is an SA intake, as far as i know its the one that was on the engine when i pulled it outta my sa, I think I have the wrong exhaust manifold. and the coolant was only seeming to leak after i shut it off. btw where does the coolant guage get its reading from? the water neck sensor or another one?
