blew my radiator this morning

 

You're sure thats what it is?

 

I added water and it just ran out the bottom. and after it blew i drove it the short drive home and coolant was everywhere

 

Thats not a bad repair though, just gotta bite the bullet and get a new one and throw it in!

Anyway, I just picked up a really nice '92 Maxima for a sweet deal. I will be re-selling it after I get the tune-up, oil changed, and a few little minor things taken care of. Oh yeah, cleaning it up of course. I'll get some pics posted up of it later this week. I'll be asking $2000 for it. So, keep it in mind

Hey fellas, needed to ask a question. my 7 is running great, idles great runs great at full throttle but while cruising my car usually cruises at about 13.1 or 13.2 afr but lately its been getting to about 13.8 and then begins to lean out when i'm just cruising at about 40 or 45 mph in 4th or 5th at about 20% throttle. starts up fine and under high rpms runs good so i believe my injectors are fine and my secondaries are running fine, my fuel pump is fine. my next guess would be the fuel filter may be clogged. or my narrowband 02 sensor is shot. any ideas. thanks fellas

 

i think its just because my fuel is always low because i just went and put 10 in gas in and now its not doing it.

 

take that back, it started doing it again after i filled the tank up all 54 dollars, im thinking its a sensor i just don t know which one

 

Your car should cruise closer to 14.7, that's the ideal number for best gas mileage. Low 13's is actually pretty rich for just plain ol drivin around the city. Mine usually fluctuates between 14.5-15.1 while cruising and I've seen my best gas mileage when it would be from 16-17 AFR's.

so got it to the house. engine rolls over and has good compression front and back. prolly gonna try and fire it up this weekend. pending the ecu is still in it cause its still running the cas. but got 3 strong swooshes out of it on front and rear just rolling it by hand. Kory, i dunno if im gonna sell it or not yet. me and my brother were discussing a rotary powered go cart or dune buggy the other day so ill have to see what comes of that first.

 

yeah but it shouldnt be sputtering like its not getting enough fuel, it will run fine with no throttle or full throttle but just cruising it will hit 14 and then drift to 15 then 16 then 17 and then start sputtering but i dont understand because she idles great, runs great under boost..i think my secondaries may be kicking the buckets. Any advice would be nice, or if anyone has any extra injectors lemme know.

Sounds like you're developing the same problem I had when u rode with me that one night. I spent months talking to people with similar problems and no one found a consistent solution but I know I fixed mine by running a clean wire from my 02 sensor to my ECU and also re-wiring my fuel pump so that it receives 12v constantly. Haven't had that problem at all since I did those.
