This is the first time since I turned 18 that I did not vote. I didn't feel we had a chance in hell either way, so I just said f*ck it..........

 

Since we just had the OGTA meeting last night and I am living vicariously through all you rotorheads, have any of you rotorheads done anything to your 7s that you want to show off? I will be in the I-85 & I-77 area tomorrow early to mid afternoon, traveling up to the mid-atlantic. Does anyone want to meet for late lunch? I know some of you have strange hours.

Just thought I would throw it out there since I will be in your territory. Otherwise, I will beep driving through.

What time are you planning on being in town? I usually take lunch aroud 3-5 I am all for meeting up. I painted the entire FD the same color since the last meet. I don't know if you saw it at Petit or not.

No i have not been at the meets because i work to many hours all ready and have a old *** house that needs more work then my 7 and after falling though my ceiling in to my kitchen last night i might not be there this week. I did not get hurt but there is a 2'x6' hole in the there now. Its a new heating method i invented LOL.

And no im not complaining about the election, hey he won fair and square. I hope he does a great job and can fix everything that has been screwed up. It sucks that the track days have all fallen on a meet weekend lately. Between those and getting another FD running and getting Ants car into a booth( hard to talk painters into letting me rent their money makers) I haven't been in along time. I think like the last 3 at least

 

Dave, is exit 32 before I-77 traveling north on I-85? If that is the case, I may be able to stop by. My route will be up I-85N to I-77 to I-81. It only takes me a little less than 3 hours to get to Charlotte, but I will have 7 more hours to drive after that. So unless I get a real late start, like noon. I will be way early for your lunch. I will check back here in the morning to see if you are on the route before I-77.

Now Stu, are you in Statesboro? I think that is about an hour north of Charlotte. So if I get out of here around 9am, that may put me in your area about 1pm or so. I have your cell number. Is there some place right off of I-77 that you are close to?

I will update with estimated time in the morning.

 

My mom told me today she was leaving work, and there was this black lady there walking around. She was like, we are closing, can I help you with anything? She said no, and Mom said that she would have to find an exit because they are closed at 6 (works for CMS). I for one do not wanna cancel these meets, I love goin out there and hangin with whoever it is that comes even if its only a couple of people. Sometimes people have things that just fall on that time and are just SOL on bein able to come to the meets.

 

I like the meets once a month. I think its working fine. We had a good crew out last time and new faces to boot.

Sam its still a good meet even if Stu doesn't make it I know we all really appreciate the driving "tours" you lead us on out in the boonies.

Now if we can just get the OGTA folks to come up here. Micheal seemed to be able to make the drive just fine. If only Rays car was in good enough shape to make that long of a trip

 

well i got a running turboII engine and a new set of wheels this coming weekend. hopefully will have it down here by next weekend.

 

i just started working this monday and finally starting the cash flow again lol, so i should be up and running for some meets from now til death do us part...haha...on another note, once i get some more saved up i was thinking about a rebuild? ...i'm considering a small street port for driveability issues (aka i'm cheap on gas lol) but most likely i'll stick to stock port and boost it like i've been planning on for a while
