hey this is some real early notice april 16, my fraternity (TKE at Southern polytecnic state university) throws a gigantic car show every year ( last years was over 100 cars) in march and well i went last year and was 1 of 2 proteges, and mazda's total!! thats ****. I think it would be awesome to have a huge mazda crowd show up and really create a powerful image, cuz usually its just mostly kids from the school. and most have never seen hot lookin 7's...there is no limit to the amount of ppl that can come so invite every car nut you know i dont care what they drive mazda or not (although i would like mazda's to show). i am posting this on clubprotege.com as well and msprotege.com too. there are going to be trophies for winners of certain classes and there will be hundreds of ppl there. last year was a blast we had live bands, some sweeeeeeet cars and a car bashing contest where we beat the **** out of a minivan with a bat! .. but let me know what you guys think. this is also for you NC, bama, florida, or where ever ppl too!!!!

 

Cool. Sounds reall sweet! Keep us informed, please. I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to get down there. My car will be painted by then, so I might even enter. Heh.

I'll make a note of it on my forum as well. Maybe we can get a few more people interested.

well u got the dragon trail the weekend before and i think rotary revolution the weekend after.

 

well hey cant you make it to all three...i mean wouldnt it be nice to go to a car show and see tons and tons of cars and most all of them are mazdas, and all these honda and DSM ppl would **** themselves when they see 20 7's pull up and a butt load more Mazdas.. plus 96 rock will be there again and who knows what else..the more ppl the more possibilities!!

 

The Grand Prix of Atlanta is that weekend @ Road Atlanta. Sorry but ill be there.

The forum isn't exclusive to Mazdas or rotaries. It's actually set up to allow people to let me know what kinds of group buys they want or to get in touch with me about purchasing parts.

I'm going to do my best to get the car ready to be shown. My intent is to use it as my 'shop car' to show off what kinds of products I carry. Hopefully, I can make it look good enought to attract some customers.

With some luck, I'll be able to get my 'show quality' up there close to 89droptop's. From what little I know about it, it's liable to kick everyone's ***.

I'll be doing my best to get as many 7s from up here to come down for it.

Will it be possible to arrange a parking area at the show where all the Mazdas or at least the RX-7s can park together? That would be pretty cool. I figured that since your fraternity is putting it on, you might be able to swing that.

mine ain't show quality yet in my mine, but if i get the new top and full racing beat exhaust by then it will be close. I have a few interior parts i'd change out. but therse no doubt i got about 6-8 grand in the sound system thats a big deal for a rx7 convertible.

The carbon fiber hood will make a huge deal. I think it needs a spoiler and then a paint job in may.

NOTA944 that would be so awesome if you brought a bunch of 7's as well as yer car which would be sweet! and we will definitly make it where all the mazdas can park together as well as grouping the 7's

Where is it being held? To have enough parking space for something that might be large, you won't find that at a frat house that doesn't already have 10 cars parked there from the brothers.

^at the SPSU (Southern Polytechnic State University) parking lot... which is more than enough room for that amount of cars .. now there are 6 ppl from my friends Suburu club coming with some bad *** STi's... Come on ppl we have to show them how strong this rotory/Mazda following is... And my buddies dad is going to bring out his EVAN's series 4 (200mph+ car), plus tons and tons more! haha there is even going to be a mini truck club

 

Oh by the way my name is Danny.. so far we have a confirmed 37 mazdas all together!
thats 26 from the protege/323 ppl, 7 RX7's, and 4 miata ppl. thats great! that is a huge step up from the 2 last year..haha. and thats only the beginning.

 

I'll bring mine if its running. It should get more appeal from the non-rotary types than Reese's because it looks nicer. Its more along the lines of his "other" shop car, except mine is due to be painted AFTER his is so......

 

Bah...yours WILL be a shop car once we get done installing the Haltech.

haha, i dont have much done to my car, by then i will have the headers and exhaust installed, if my friend ever gets off his lazy *** and gives me the exhaust system

 

Do you have any pics of last years event? dont they have a track in marietta GA? any planed racing events going on or just a show?

Ill try and make it too, my car is far from show quality but has a custom interior and Racing Beat exhaust. By then mabey the first gen will be up and running also.

 

ummm, no road track that I am aware of, maybe a "i have no skill, and mash the pedal drag strip"

 

you know most of the time the people that complain about the drag strip are the slow ones. TO each his own

 

ya i think i can get some pics up...it wasnt near as big as this one will be because last year noone really told many ppl. this year there are going to be some cars that most of you have never seen or ever will unless u see it there like the 2 evans cars. and if you in that much of a need to race just drive down barrett pkwy, every honda ricer andhis mom will rev on you..haha

my car may be slower than yours, but in the mtns or road course, its all about who is a better driver
