The only place to cruise is Capital Blvd in Raleigh, all the ricers and Raleigh PD hang out there together on Saturday nights. Don't know what goes on in Durham. You might want to check out that area of Durham with some locals, I'd be really concerned about most areas of Durham especially leaving a car out overnight. I'd personally recommend that y'all check out the hotels around Creedmoor, or stay in Raleigh, should be much safer for your cars. Ask hotels in Durham if they have security or limited access parking.

i like it...nice, simple, and elegant. using only red and black should keep cost down too.

as far as somewhere to cruise, it shouldn't be that far to get back to capital. a little confusing but not far.

hopefully, i will have something worthy of cruising with you guys by then; even if it is a little more ricey than we would normally accept.

Could you explain again why the cover charge is $10 ? I don't mean to complain or anything but that seems a little steep and I'm wondering what on earth could cost so much that we're gonna need a couple hundred dollars total to pay for everything. Is it the T-shirts?

Me and my Bridged rotary will try and make it up there. And 10 dollars sounds more than reasonable.

Yes, $10 will cover the food, drinks all the support stuff and will be a down payment on the T-shirt costs. Don't know yet how much they will be and will apply what is not used for the food and stuff to T-shirt. Besides an appearance by the banana girl does not come cheap! We were hoping that Ryan could use his natural way with women to convince her to show up, just to meet all of us, but when she found out what was really going down she demanded payment and a ride in an FD.

Did you get my PMs to you? Let me know the costs and I'll add them to the bill for the GRR. Thanks again for taking on this role. It really helps to have everyone share the planning and prep.

Nice car, were you having to have it shipped to you from home? We are slowly building the first gen representation. We'll expect a story or two about her and how you found her in such good condition or what you had to do to get her where she is today.

Yah its running better and better every day

The only real problem i have is cold starts. Sometimes it takes a few cranks before it starts up, but I think ive got that figured out and i'll be working on it tomorrow. But I expect some small things to be worked out as I put more miles on the engine.

The 5 speed swapped in nicely, and its a good tranny. I put new seals on the tranny, new bearings, clutch disk etc. to make sure I get a good long life out of it before I have to work on anything again. I've still got the automatic trans 3.9 in the rear, and Im happy with the acceleration.

Im going to Mooresville the 11th to the local 1/8 strip there, and I'm going to test out some launches. Thursday nights at that track are the street legal nights, and all the NasTecers (students at the nascar training facilities in mooresville, who think they are the stuff) ride up there in the little civics and other various 90 hp cars. I'm going to have some fun with them and hopefully get several kills.

I look forward to seeing all you guys the 13th!

-Chris

He has two grills and they are both charcoal. So it will probably take a full bag and a can of lighter.

GRR list of commits and maybes

I am attaching a list that I compiled today indicating who has committed and who anticipates attending but can't commit yet. Please check this list for your name and let me know if you aren't there or I have you tagged wrong. If you are on the maybe list then let me know as soon as you can make a commitment or you know that you can't attend. I need this to plan for food and to anticipate how much money we're gonna have for the event. the Banana girl is getting more expensive everyday.

If anyone is looking for GRR information or has questions then post here or PM me. If you are helping on some aspect of the event and need info please drop me a message, don't wait for me to remember or to think of something that should be up here and you cannot find it.
