I'm in. If I bring someone else do I have to bring 2 door prizes or would it just be $20 + a door prize?

Just $20 and a door prize, that is unless she is under 12 and then it would be $15 and a door prize and a Barbie doll.

there are no excuses for missing the GRR; not work, not broken cars, not health problems.

Yeah, that is the one. You could bring a nice set of Valve stem caps, the stainless steel ones are like $3.99 at Pep Boys.
Since you're doing the logo design and supporting the Rally that way the ten bucks is waived. Come on down. If I can find out what lodging is convenient to the rally site I'll talk to them about doing a special rate on rooms for the military that can make it up. I'll keep you posted.

I know how you feel, Josh just keeps asking for more. I can't help myself either when he give us such an opening to zing him. He should try to date older, more sophisticated women, He'll quickly loose interest in the youngins. Should we card his date when he gets there?

Bawhahaa! Ok Ok, I get the point. I just started this job so I can't start asking for days off yet. I think I should be able to come though.

Johny, you can borrow the video anytime(after I am done with my rebuild ) I don't mind the underage girl jokes. I just hope nobody reading the thread from outside our group takes it seriously(especially law enforcement officials searching for online molesters)

Hopefully, by the GRR I will have a car that can run the backroads. If it isn't rotary I will stay in the back so as not to embarass everyone and if anyone asks you can just say. "That wierd guy just started following us, we don't know where he came from, with his pistons and other various moving engine parts."

Lauren, I know how the new job thing can go. We won't heckle those who can't make it...too much.

Bert, is there anything you need me to do, so I can help you out?

I'm going to drive out there this weekend and find the best route to the rally and check out the back roads. I am waiting now to hear about what food and other items dubcaps can get thru his father, we made need to provide plates, napkins, cups, forks & spoons, charcoal, etc. We can pay for it out of the ticket price but someone will have take responsibility for picking it up. We'll also need trash bags for clean up and garbage disposal.

I have rotofire working on the event logo and shirt design, Dave is providing the space, Ryan is getting coolers and drinks, Johny will handle getting the shirts made and maybe some directional signs to the event. Dubcaps will be getting us a good price on food. Can you think of anything else? If you want to organize the nonfood and drinks purchase and pickup or take on organizing clean up. Either one will be appreciated.

Also do you, or does anyone, have a tarp or shelter that might be needed depending on the weather?

Holiday Inn Express

I just found that there is a Holiday Inn Express in Creedmoor and is probably the closest hotel to the rally location. I have called them and they will give all GRR participants a special room rate of $63/night. See pictures below for Holiday Inn Express.

That is the closest hotel, but there is also a Comfort Inn with rates of $55 - $60/night.

I can handle the plates, cups, napkins, spoons/forks/knives, and charcoal? Who is bringing the grill? If it's propane I can bring a tank; my folks have a spare. I will cover this instead of sending you the $$$, Bert. If it is more than $20 I will cover it. If it is less, then I will contribute the remainder to the GRR fund. That is, if all this is ok with you, Bert.

That is fine, According to Dave at the last drive-in he has a large grill, I didn't think to ask him what kind of grill it was. I have sent him a PM about it to find out for sure. I'll let you know. Thanks for taking this part on. As long as it doesn't rain all day this is gonna be a fun thing.

Alright i'm getting a reservation at the Holiday Inn. I'll be there by friday night....anything going on friday night? Is it a pay at the door event? it says here there's a holiday INN express in durham? Is there? oh yea, what is the address? I'll get some directions on MapQuest and find a good hotel near both GRR and Raleigh. Is that logo good enough? Any changes you want me to make?

on a side note...I finally completed a full racing beat exhaust system!!!wahoooo! no more dirt bike-sounding muffler for me!
