It's not going to die...i'm going to do everything I can to get to come. If I get a good grade on this english project (reason I'm grounded) I'm sure she'll let me come. I've got a week and half to let the steam die down. Now if you'll excuse me fellas I've got to go finish writing my paper. (its late as it is, and I'm skipping first period to finish it)

looks like it's getting smaller, I am still going. I'll be the only one from here coming, no one else from here is going.

rxTony, I was born in Huntington and my grandmother was a professor there at Marshall back in the 70's, WAM I just turned 36 so you won't be the oldest one. I'm going to be there in my 73 celica w/ 360 v8 as I haven't found a 2nd gen body to put my motor in yet. Suggestion for a next event, cruise the OBX saturday and then go to NE Dragway Saturday night for a good ol' honda bashing.

Hey GT Eater, you coming to our little meet huh? Cool!!!! A 73 Celica with a 360, man that thing must be awesome. I like the idea of the OBX cruise then on to NE drags. I haven't been to a drag event in a long time. Where in the Roads do you live? If you want we can meet somewhere that morning and drive on down to Emerald Isle. Are you looking for a 2nd gen RX7 body to swap into? You may be in luck I know a guy with 2 he wants to get rid of and I am taking off his hands as soon as I get around to getting them.

NE drags are in Elizabeth City NC, it's only a 1/8 track but still kinda fun to go and watch even run. Watch people run whatever they drove is kinda cool.

Tony, yes I am looking for a fc body for my 360 and I would love to meet up with you the morning of the cruise. How far is it from your place to EI? Iam going to tow the Celica down to the in laws house in KittyHawk and drive it the rest of the way as it has 4:10 gears and tends to get a little warm on long drives. I live at Croatan Beach in Va Beach so it will take about 1.5 hours to get to KittyHawk. What time do you want to meet up? Let me know about the 2 bodies as I have truck&trailer and I'll be glad to help you move them especially if I can bring one back to VA with me.

I think I will try and be there. But if you want to know where a good drag strip is, there is one right here in this town you can race down every saturday just as long as the weather is right. Coastal plains speedway right near richlands, nc.

GT Eater, I live in Nags Head on the beach road behind the Dowdys amusement park. I am going to go look at the 2 RX-7s again soon hopefully. I think it's about a 3 hour drive from here to EI. I don't know yet what time I am leaving it depends on what time everyone is meeting in EI, I was gonna try to be there around 10 to 10:30, so leave the beach around 7 ish.

I don't really want both of the cars, so if you help me get one here you can have the other one. I beleive one of them is a TII so I want that one to rebuild. How much will you have to stop due to your rear end heating up?

Tony, thats a lot of driving for the Yota (5.5hours) I'll spend 100 in fuel alone. Maybe I'll just trailer the car down close to EI and drive it from there. Last time I drove it to Kitty Hawk it got up to about 200 in Coinjock so I had to pull over and eat while it cooled down. This car is definately not very street friendly yet as I haven't been able to find an auto with overdrive, but that will be coming soon as I can find one. What kind of shape is the fc body in and is it a 5 lug car? I'm going to look at one today that was rear ended and hasn't run in almost a year. Im going to use this as a parts car, Strip what I want and sell the rest.

The bodies on both of them are in decent shape. And it is 5 lug if I remember correctly. If you trailer your car which way will you be going. Straight down 17 from VA? I looked up the directions tonight from my house to Golfin Dolphin it's 188 miles from here.

Any idea on count as of now?

I don't know which way I'll go just yet, I guess I'll have to get into mapquest and see which way is best. Either way I'll meet up with you somewhere along the way. I went and bought the 89 that I was referring to earlier, so I at least have a good parts car, everything from the doors forward is useable. I will be pulling the trans to sell and once i find out if the engine is any good it will be gone also. The owner of the car says it does have a posi and the engine was running when it was wrecked, it just hasn't been started in a few months. I'll find out this week. The rear of the car is totaled so I won't be keeping it around for long. Let me know if there is anything you might need for your car, so I can be sure to pull them before I can the body.

What are you going to do with the motor when you pull it? I'll come get it!! What parts on the car are you going to be using? So I guess you still need another body. What about the rims on it? Are they in good shape? Just let me know which way you are going so we can figure a place to meet. I will be going out through 64/264 to hook up to 17. I am expecting about a 3 hour ride from my house.

Oh your inlaws are in Kitty Hawk. Do you come down here often. Next time you are down on a Saturday coem to our car club cruise-in at the Waffle World in Kill Devil Hills at 7 pm. Check out our club at

So far I'm only planning to use the interior (white leather conquest seats&steering wheel, door panels etc.) and the suspension (5lug and posi) probably keep the good sheetmetal for spares. Eventually I'd like to find another body to build an all out V8 race car for some ultimate street car shootouts. I have always wanted a supercharged V8 in a 2700lb car. I had a 280 Z with a 425 horse engine and it was a blast to drive, even with no posi. I'll be glad to bring the engine to you and the tranny too, that will be a good trade for the fc body you were talking about. I don't go to Kitty Hawk much unless the inlaws aren't there as Me and Mom don't get along AT ALL. But the next time the wife is up we will be sure to swing by and check out the cruise. The rims on the wreck are 16x8fr and 16x9rr, I am planning on using them on my car until I can get some 17x9s. I eventually want to get the Cobra wheels as I have been told that they share the same bolt pattern as the 5lug fc, can anyone confirm this one way or the other? You are more than welcome to any of the underhood pieces that are used with the rotary engine as I won't have any use for them. I am still debating selling the dash as it is in perfect condition.

Cool, sounds good to me. I am going tomorrow probably to look at them again. It was dark the first time and went and saw them and talked to the guy who has them. I'm not sure about the Cobra wheels bolting up to a FC though. Post in the 2nd gen section someone will know.

Yo Stephen!! Any of your friends coming to our little meet?

Tony, let me know something as soon as possible on the bodies, maybe we can set something up for this weekend to get them. I'm supposed to be off Friday so maybe I'll come down for the weekend and stay in Nags Head since the tourist season is over and you can rent a hotel room fairly cheap.
