I just wanted to give a quick shout to all the cool peeps I met on the caravan and at DGRR. I really enjoyed getting to spend time with you guys and I had a blast! Thank goodness we and our Mazdas did not fall to the wrath of the dragon (like that Miata did!). I hope to see you guys again at another event soon! (Like that free dyno day in Columbia next weekend, hint, hint)

Yes I don't think we can resist the dragon for a whole year. Eli you & Seneca & Keith are welcome to come to any of the SC events, anytime. I think I should be the one to invite you, since I've never been to one myself!

Seriously, I think you guys could make it to one in the upstate, Greenville/Spartanburg area easily!

The REAL DGRR awards!

And now the REAL DGRR awards....

Toby gets the "approach me and cry award" for his tear-bringing exhaust. Your car reminds me of a $200 *****, looks damn good but smells like ***. Maybe you could tune her a little b4 the dyno this weekend, or not....that way you'd have a nice baseline, before/after type of thing.

Jamin wins the "ambulance" award for hauling *** in his fookin sweet white T2 on the dragon to get help for some old geezer who laid his bike down, and then took off before it arrived. I want this man on all my road trips!

Gianni wins the "most-parts- flying- off- the- car- but- still- making- it- home-after-scaring-girlfriend -to-death-on-dragon-and -never-hearing-the-end-of-it" award. That comes with a ginormous tube of permatex to help out, G-man - in both areas! I still LOVE your FB tho , or should I say ours...I think I've got about a .02% stake in its value from the parts I saved.

Vic wins the "look at my *** shrinking" award , because that's about what we saw of his only-blue-8-there while trying to keep up with him on the dragon . I wanted to ride in it again so badly that I let the aforementioned part-tossing G-man drive my baby for a while.

Eli you win two awards, one for the loudest FC exhaust (loved it!). Plus the 8,463 bonus points for tackling the dragon with your power steering out qualifies you for the strong arm award! (Like his forearm doesn't see enough action already.)

Only one way to find out if it can or not. Impromptu to Dragon Slaying time! How about about the 28th of May?

You ain't kidding! OMG, I still haven't heard the end of it!

Lacy wants to know where's her award for putting up with the three of us and especially for surviving the slaying of the dragon... i.e. ME

What's going on the 28th? That's a couple weeks before my birthday, close enough for self-justification.

Well, Lacy deserves more than an award for tolerating us and our reckless shenanigans on the dragon!

What's up with you and Vic, coming to the dyno this weekend?:

I talked to Vic, he's still in NY. He said he rather go to the SCR-SCCA Autocross here at BMW's parking lot on the 29th of April. I told him we could do both since one is on Sat and the other on Sunday. I did sign up however, not sure about him.

The 28th just happens to be the following week that Lacy has off after the 1st Weekend of May (which we'll be headed down to Charleston) for the SCRX7 Meet. I figured it would be a great time to head back up to the Dragon. I'm still trying to figure out when the RX-8 Club is going up. Are you interested either way?

I am indeed interested! I forgot about the meet being the 1st Sat of each month. I'll have to subscribe to that thread so I stay updated. I will probably go down then as well. Maybe get in a deep sea fishing trip too, the time will be right.

I don't think I'll do the autox sunday though.

Oh and as I predicted, the new jets for my Weber came in on Friday after we left. I hope to get a chance to play with that some this week.

Let me talk to my friend down there and see if he is working that weekend. He's a pharmacist and has every other week off, he also has a charter business on the side so I don't know if he's already booked or whatever.

Sounds great! Lacy and I have been talking about going finish here for the past 2 months. That's how I'm talking her into going on this 7 Meet.

Oh come on man, you'll be in Columbia, what's another hour drive from there?

Well they are on 2 difft. days man, so its not an hour. Plus I need to put on that rear end sometime, I think I'm going to GA tomorrow to pick it up but I don't think I will do it this week since dyno is Sat.

My buddy's boat is kind of small, enough for 3 to fish comfy but it gets crowded with 4 because there are no seats for the 3 hr trip out. Just the center console and a couple bean bags at the back. The seats up front can't be used while hauling butt out to get offshore, its just too rough. But we could all do some inshore fishing, around the jettis or something. I have to get in touch with him and see, don't get excited just yet.
