You have a 5 speed right? How about the 5 speed version of the RX8 shift ****? It's classy, fits in your hand very well, etc.

I do have a 5 speed, do the rx8 ***** fit a miata shaft? I thought the rx8s were 6 speed for some reason so I haven't even looked for them. The standard black miata one would go well too, its similar to the one in there now, not flashy or anything.

Put acid on my LSD, there's got to be a joke in there somewhere....

Here is one from an RX8, sweet indeed but it is a 6 speed.

You know, a carbon fiber one wouldn't look bad either, I have metallic gray in the dash bezel and shift surround, hmmmm
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NRG-C...QQcmdZViewItem

Help guys! I will take a pic of the dash now for your input.

I have a 5 speed rx8 shift **** in my car. I also have a miata shift **** at home if you want it...

And no joke on the acid bath.

Also, how do you feel about June 16th? Now that the date is locked for Steve to come to SC... I'm a bit worried to put down my down payment and break something at the Gap the weekend before.

Yeah, do you have a black miata ? If so, please bring it with you Saturday. And then you can put it on your car and give me the rx8 one! BTW that shift **** is pretty swank, man!

LSD as in the drug, another name for it is acid...I wan't always an angel, you know!

I hear that about breaking something. However I believe its highly more likely that something would fly off, instead.

LOL - yea... my car came with one... I took that sob out and put the RX8 5 speed one. I'm tempted to sell it though, and get one that has the illumination.

I'm not worried about stuff flying off, that wont stop me from going to the tuning. However, I'm planning on putting new injectors in at the very least so... I am worried about that. Granted I don't have to change the injectors until after we go, but then that'll only be a week to do so.

^^ I got dibs dawg, if you do!

These look pretty good, but they are for the 7's shaft. I bet that I could probably get the guy who makes them make me one to fit the miata shaft. Hmmm, decisions, decisions....c'mon guys HELP!

I know, I just can't resist the "flying off" jokes. You should be prepared to hear them for at least a full week after it has happened. Just like Toby and his exhaust, lol. I hope noone takes me seriously! Besides, if you've got parts flying off while you're on a dyno then you've got muchos grande problemas!

Are you absolutely sure that you need new injectors man? Thats a chunk of change....

I hope to get my carby tuned up tomorrow afternoon, I've got the jets now but I just haven't had enough time to dedicate to doing it yet. Itwill be a lot of trial and error and test runs. One jet size could make a 10hp difference so its pretty crucial.

ROFL yea really, if something comes flying off at the dyno... it's time to take a step back and rethink these whole project!

Yea, I need new injectors. They are currently maxed out. According Steve, that followed by my IT / IC are my limiting factors right now for more RWHP. I was looking at the PFC maps, they are sitting at 100% duty cycle the both of them. Even if I hadn't seen it for myself I trust Steve, so if he says I need new ones... I' trust him. ...if I didn't I wouldn't have let him tune my car.

That's quite a bit of difference for just the size of the jet... but it does make sense.

I love this tread and will start another as soon as this one disappers. All my 7 homies are here and I know where to look 4 em. Anyways I enjoyed the time I spent on the Dragon w/ everyone as brief as it was, I hope we can all agree on a date for everyone to come back and enjoy a more relaxed holiday with all of the same attributes that make the Dragon a well known destination and have less traffic to deal with. I invite anyone who is interested in a return trip to the Dragon to follow this thread and post accordingly. I live on 276 and it is a lot like DG but without the extra 1 1/2 hours drive. If (YALL) aint never been on the Parkway then let me show yall somthin'. Robbinsville aint country enough LOLX50

That sounds like a plan Eli, I'm down for a road trip most anytime. So much for keeping the miles low on my baby.

So what do we do with said items? Where do they go? I've never seen anything like that on a car. I'm confused.
