Columbia to Deals Gap?!

Let's get a list of the people leaving the Columbia, Irmo and surrounding areas to go to Deals Gap, and meet somewhere and caravan. I for one dont know exactly how to get there and would hate to drive the entire way alone.

What time are you guys planing to leave? I'm headed up around 12 to 1pm Friday. So you guys could stop by Spartanburg (since it's on the way) and we can caravan from there together.

I believe many are as well as the place was almost fully booked two weeks ago. I would let you stay on the with had I not already told someone they could already.

I need somewhere to stay. I think it will just be me as I don't have anybody in my passanger seat yet. Either day is fine with me, i'm going to clear the entire weekend so whatever is good for the rest of you.

whenever you guys are, we are driving up friday, right?

ive never been to a gdrr before, so i dont really know what a good time to show up would be. the website says the first run is at 4pm on friday? so how about we meet up in Inman somewhere around 12pm (big daddys?). google says its a 3 hour drive from inman to deals gap, so we would get up there around 3-4pm. i would be driving up from columbia around 11am

sound ok?

Herblenny, consider it done once we finalize the time we are meeting in the Update Area.

gx90rx7 - Yea we want to leave Spartanburg around noon on Friday. We all can meet either at Denny's on Reville Rd or at Big Daddy's though I do believe it's closed now. My house isn't that far out of the way, it's about the same amount as Big Daddy's. Either way is fine with me though.

Let's say meet up there (either place) by ~Noon.

LOL, I'm not sure what my house has to do with anything... but what I wanted to say was that Denmy's isn't that far away from I-26. In fact it's closer then Big Daddy was / is.

Let me know which you perfer to meet at and we'll go from there. If your leaving at 11, you should be in Spartanburg around 12.

I'll post the directions in the morning as well as post it in the RX-8 forum.

For those that don't know, you can check out www.tailofthedragon.com for all road condition updates, weather and all other events going on at Deal's Gap. Area Maps and Eating info also available.

The link above is intended to just be another source of info and not to replace all the hard work Phil has down with DGRR.net. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Cya there,
Brad
