SBG: Oil Filter Pedestal / Adapter - Pre-Sale!

We've had a few requests to make a new run of these available recently... so here it goes. We're doing a small production run of oil filter pedestals which will be shipping in the next two weeks. Currently about half of our 30 piece production run has been pre-sold but for those who are not aware, here is some more information on our pedestal/adapter:

Currently we are taking pre-orders for $160.00

(Retail pricing will be $175 after the pre-sale is over for any remaining inventory)

Originally we made this for our own cars a few months back and have been running it for some time now (picture from test fitting). It's shorter than the stock pedestal to give a little extra room when running the "tall" filter element for better filtration (we use the Mazda 929 filter on our cars), has two 1/8" NPT ports for pressure/temp gauges, as well as a 3/8" NPT port for either a GM type temp sensor, or as an optional feed for the center iron. We machine it out of a single piece of billet as we've seen the damage some of the welded or two piece threaded filter posts have done.

We include new viton o-rings for the base and plugs for any unused ports. This can be used with the stock banjo hard-line for the oil cooler or a -10AN adapter if used with our oil cooler kit or aftermarket DIY setup. We sold out of the handful we made originally but should have more in stock in the next couple weeks.

Highlights:
•Shorter than stock - for taller filters
•One piece billet construction
•2x 1/8" NPT sensor ports
•1x 3/8" NPT sensor/feed port
•Viton O-rings
•Stainless hardware and port plugs

Can you recommend a single oil cooler kit for my 1986 NA RX-7? I don't have the pedestal or anything. My headlights are deleted so mounting it in there is also a possibility.

Thanks!

I honestly have no clue unfortunately. We only do FD cooler setups... it's been a long time since we touched an FC.

We just finished another production run of the pedestals. we have 10 left to pre-order on the website. They need to go through anodizing but that's relatively fast.

Ordered mine

Edit: just wondering i know it says in the description that you can use a longer filter, how would one go about figureing out the part number of a longer filter that would work other than by trial and error?

Hard to tell from the installed picture on your website, it looks like the OEM fuel lines might interfere with the sensors. Is the line of the 1/8 and 3/8-in. ports below the steel fuel lines?

The 929 oil filters have the same threading but have a much taller element. Use those

Hey Jack,
It really depends on the size of your fitting and sensor/connector. We've have some fit and some that were too large... but there's a third 1/8 npt port on the back of the unit if you need another spot or have any interference issues (check the picture above)
