VIDEO: FD owners must see! 380hp FD-TT vs 600hp Skyline GT-R

I hope this isn’t a repost, but I have already checked so it shouldn’t be. I have included 3 links below of the RE-Amemiya FD with a “stock like” setup taking on the 600hp MCR Skyline GT-R. I would suggest to you to watch these in order, you wont want to miss the comments from some of the best drivers in JGTC in video 1 & 2. But, the real race is in video 3.

Listening to some of the comments from Orido, Ida and Tuschiya reminded me of my first time taking the FD out on the track, I couldn’t agree more completely. I’d tell you who wins but ………….yall know who’s going to win anyway!

ENJOY!

that's the best motoring video of "Rotary Rocket". They did the test with the AMUSE S2k, and it ended up a tie. (the FD vs. the S2k)

Re amemiya FD and the Amuse S2300 GT-1 were the 2006 Touge Monster cars.

Search for keywords Amemiya and Amuse on youtube, the final touge battle (Grand Prix Final) will show up.

Yeah--that scramble boost ups the psi and gives a 50hp kick.

can you run a scrambl boost system on the fd, if so who makes one with a button like that, and also how would you do it? does the ecu kick more fuel on

I have a dvd with those touge races. It came with a tuner magazine i bought a few months ago. the skyline just could not keep up with the 7 around those bends.

It should be noted that MCR doesn't gear their tuning towards touge runs and are more wangan racers. If you don't know what Wangan is, it refers to the Wangan freeway in Japan where wangan racers make top speed runs.

Not to take away from the FDs accomplishment, but the higher horsepower cars like the MCR GTR and Yashio Factory's pink Silvia struggle with touge due to the abrupt power delivery among other things. The FDs always seem to do better being better balanced.

RE Super G

Engine: TT 380ps
Turbines: Stock
ECU: RE Amemiya
Headers: RE Amemiya
Exhaust: RE Amemiya
Trans: Stock
LSD: RE Amemiya
Dampers: RE Amemiya Quantum RS ($4000+ coilovers)
Springs: F16Kg, R18Kg
Brakes: AP Racing Front Calipers
Pads: Project Mu
Tires: Yokohama Advan Neova 255/40R17
Reinforce: FRP Hood
Weight: 1200Kg [2646 lbs]

To me, the most important thing they did was the Quantum coil-overs and the AP brakes, because the engine is all most bone stock.

There is that, but the driver also deserves a lot of credit. Cmon, it's Keichii Tsuchiya himself drivin.

I'd actually bank on tsuchiya losing against a driver like taniguchi or orido.

that is an awesome race but the S2300 is better Race :P

even though both are really "balanced" (the FD, s2300) the s2300 does not look "Natural" going round the bends.. where the FD does.. i dunno.... maybe i'm just crazy...

(and the Fd Looks alot better, although the s2300 does look good)

My AVC-R is scramble boost capable. It just controls the boost so your engine management system of choice would have to recognize the raise in pressure and accomodate - or just set it to raise the pressure only a few psi.
