I just got a new DVD called "High Octane - Detonate" and the first thing they proceed to do is settle everyone's favorite debate.

The whole DVD rocks ***, they have some rpetty crazy **** going on. They meet Richard Hammond from Top Gear, do a FD vs. AMG Mercedes battle and have some kooky things mixed in.

I couldn't maintain the DVD's 16:9 ratio because I only have Windows Movie Maker, but here it is anyways (albeit a little stretched):

LoL and smacked down by a 12a... Not even a 13b... The 20b would have been too painful for the v8 crowd to watch. They probably broken the 20b car on purpose...

The first car was the 20b but when it went off the course it broke. It was then substituted with another car with a 12a turbo.

Not too hard to find if you use the right search terms on the right search engines.

I haven't been able to find out much more about the two rotary cars. I've been searching all over the place but only found a couple of small pictures and some race results.

The car was built by a company called "Mazprep Engineering" in Australia and seems to run a rotary tuning/rebuilding business as there are a few people on some forums that came up that had their engines rebuilt by them.

 

Ok so V8 is out of the picture. What about 4 cylinder vs rotary?

That is a pretty sweet video. Goes to show that a car closer to 2000lbs will smack around one that is closer to 3,000lbs and a bit more power. Plus everyone knows that nothing handles like an RX-7.....

I think if the challenging car was Chevy powered instead of a Ford the outcome could've been different .
