RX7's wasting away
I found these two RX/7's down the road from my house. Rotaries & J-cars in general are new to me, so don't sledge me too much.
They do appear to be abandoned, or at least permanently parked. This is a pretty common thing in Japan. I come across stuff like this all the time. Interesting?
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/d3dcjOYUlGI?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/d3dcjOYUlGI?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Okay so the fb is interesting.
The hood is made by erc-rotary right there in Japan, has mesh head seats, and I'm 95% positive that those wheels are Watanabe's, and the badge is certainly Re Amemiya.
But dang man I wish I could drive two minutes down the road and find an abandoned rx7 with an antenna down.
Here's a link to the hood: http://translate.google.com/translat...sa22c_fook.htm

The fb also has some rare (from what I know) re amemiya side mirrors.
The more and more I look at it I'm more convinced that it has been tuned by re amemiya or they have touched it in some way.
The body is too far gone I believe, but if you could find the owner and if he's willing to sell it, buy it and part it out for the nice stuff or keep it for yourself.

I have a 1/43 scale model of SPA winner with those ugly mirrors on it
thing is...there are loads of these kinda cars dumped/parked up in japan.never get stolen, different mindset in japan and very different society with respect for others stuff...whereas else where in the world...these kind of cars are fair game and get bits ripped off or stolen.

Not a bad find. The FC can probably be saved and the SA would be a big project but a better part out. If your Japanese is any good you could probably pick up one or both of the cars really cheap or free, but you will need a tow truck and also a place to keep them which in Japan is not as easy as it sounds for most. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the responses, guys. It's very interesting to hear your thoughts. So, if it's ok, I will be sharing more of what I find. ^_^
