New Addition to the Family

Yesterday leaving the dropzone some kid approached me and said i have an RX-7 like yours ill sell you for a 100 bucks. so i went to see it of course. when i got there i saw this sad and lonely SE abandoned in a parking lot. i told him thanks but i didnt want it because the parts wouldnt fit my car, and he said im tired of looking at it sit there its been sitting there for over a year and a half and i cant figure out how to fix it im about to call a junkyard to come pick it up. if you just take it home you can take it for free. so i towed it home messed with it a little bit today after work reconected the wiring harness, replaced the ignition switch and started right up!!! so now there is a new SE in the comunity!!!! here are some pics

You are lucky! My grass gets this stupid layer of white crap on it in the winter. Several feet of it in fact.

damn

Wish I could come across a steal like that here. My niece needs a car to drive to school. Hell, around here, kid would have said $100, then when you seen the car would have changed his mind and wanted $500. Good find, nice save. Decided what you are going to do with it?

yeah man im trying to get that gauge to work it anoys me too. im thinking there is still a loose cable somewhere and thats why its doing that. but im glad about the car it starts and idles like a champ even the A/C works on it and cools like a MF. the only things i have to fix are electrical and getting the interior together!!! and for free. that makes it even better!!!

.

i finished doing stuff to my other rx-7. so i dont know im probably going to restore this one too. when i first saw it i taught about parting it out but when i got it running i just realized that it was just in the wrong hands before and that all it needed was some TLC!!! So as of now I'm gonna try to get it back in shape. it shouldn't take that much re-do. some wiring, fix the interiors and wax the **** out of it to get the paint back in shape. I guess this just gives me something to do!! then when im done with it probably try to get a conbertible or a gxl and do the same thing again.

Gone,

the previous owner was giving me the run arround for the title so i took out the sun roof mechanism and the A/C components and traded it for 500 bucks and a brand new XSPOWER turbo set up for my car worth about 2500 bucks. The car now belongs to pistonslayer and its going to become a straight out dragg car.
