Half bridge N/A vid
I posted this a little while ago in the Canadian section, but I thought I should put it here too.
The motor is a 4port S5 Turbo block with S5 N/A 9.7 rotors. I used JHB's Cermet B housings and the rotors were also thermal coated by JHB.
I ported the secondary ports with a large bridge port and the primaries have been streetported.
I also used the RX-8 stat gears in the motor.
In the Vid its running with stock S4 electronics, but I need to get a standalone to have it run properly on the street.
Anyways enjoy the Brap!

It's a half bridge. Just like he says.

You pretty much have my dream motor. I'd do a couple things different, but your motor seems spot on. Congrats on that excellent power plant, man.

Hey guys...sorry, I kinda almost forgot I posted this here LOL.
It definatly doesn't run very well at all on the stock electronics, I had to advance the timing waaay past 70* at idle just to get it to run at all. Then once its on the street under load it bucks and stutters. The stock electronics are just no good at all.
I'm waiting to get a Haltech for it so it can be properly tuned in, then I'll run a set of 550cc T2 injectors in it. I'll be dissapointed if it doesn't make over 230whp.
Once I get a Haltech for it and dial it in then I'll post a vid of me testing out the line lock I installed

Stock ECU timing with advance of more that 70 degrees would put you at 65 degrees BTDC for idle on the leading, and around 95 degrees BTDC on both leading and trailing AT WOT.
No wonder it doesn't run worth a damn.... I doubt it actually runs with these timing parameters. At 95 degees BTDC, the apex seal has barely passed the leading spark plug... the engine would detonate extremely hard. I don;t think you really know what the engine is timed to....
Stock timing at idle is 5 degrees ATDC leading, 20 degrees ATDC trailing.
Timing at WOT is ~25 degrees BTDC.

Yes I realize what the stock timing should be.....but trust me just to get it to fire up and run in neutral I had to turn the CAS clockwise almost a quarter turn. I'm completely baffled myself.
