that would be good on older rc airplanes because it looks like a radial engine

My friend and I wanted to get our hands on one of those engines and put it on one of those "high performance" rc cars that you can modify the suspension on and all that ****. Would be pretty amusing.

Damn, I just bought a new RC plane about 6 months ago....wish I would of known about these motors then!!

You throw that much power into a little light weight RC car, and you better have deep pockets. The RC planes hold up better in a wreck than the cars do.

I used to be go nuts over those gas RC cars before i had my liscense. NOw i feel like getting back into it again. Its a pretty expensive hobby though. For some reason, the rotary engine;s rpm is very low compared to other RC engines. OSENGINES.com

I've got 5 of these "high perf. RC cars" 1 gas and 4 electrics. i'm plannin to custom design and build a chassis that will mimick the actual RX7's chassis, make it front engine RWD, air cooled, rear exit exhaust, 2 gas tanks, adjustable camber, caster, under and over steer, 3 speed tranny, limited slip or locked rear diff, 26mm wide front wheels, 30mm wide rear wheels, stretched tires, and of course an FC body, with the spare body being an FD. It can be done, i've designed the chassis, and I have 80% of the parts already, just need the engine, another gas tank, so tubing for exhaust, and the chassis (gonna use brass tubing and CF).

ya the rc rotary doesnt put out good numbers compared to the piston engines, they said theres a lot more development in those little piston engines since thats what has been in these cars sence day 1 basicly, maybe they will improve that little rotary eventually... would be an ideal engine to put a mini turbo charger on

Awesome, I used to be it r/c pretty heavy and I might get back in. I had a ofna hyper 7 that I converted to a truggy, and a rc10gt w/ os 18. That thing was a beast!

meh, my rc10gt had atleast twice the power and was rwd. If you know what you are doing you it was still controlable... when the front wheels were on the ground hahaha

I don't think so.

I've flown RC airplanes for 15 years. Never ever seen a car blow up into a thousand balsa wood peices. Now maybe helicopters. I got into helos and man when they crash, you break everything.

That motor is for planes. Very few people have used them as there power to weight ratio is not the best in comparison to the piston motors.

Here's my RC FD and RX3.
I'll post my FC Drift Rc as soon as i can download it from my camera.
I have lost of Rc stuff 15yrs and about 30k invested.

Thanks
Rick
