Just get the 2.1. That way you can tune it.
ok i was thinking 2.1 also because i plan in the near future going to bnr stage 3, fmic and all the accociated fuel upgrades etc... but with the above upgrages which size injectors do you reccomend? 550 primary 720 secondary?? 720/720?? 550/550??
A 1.5 or 1.7 would be great with your current setup. Keep in mind you will need 720cc secondary injectors with a 1.7. If you do end up getting the hybrid turbo or porting your engine then then the 2.1 is the way to go. It can grow with your needs. Check the digital tuning website for the features on all upgrades available.

so im stuck again,, my friend is telling me the 1.7 is too much fuel for stock turbo at 10psi, and that the 1.5 with the stock 550cc injectors is enough fuel for up to like 280hp is this correct?? someone help me out here im gonna order the 1.7 or.1.5 as soon as i hear something back on here...
thanx

The 1.5 and 1.7 don't change the amount of fuel. They just compensate for bigger injectors down to the stock map and give you 5% more d/c on the top end. You really should save up and get the 2.1. It gives you alot more features that you'll appreciate when it comes time to tune the car.
not really interested in tunning the car with the stock turbo thats y i asked about wat i need 1.5 or 1.7 i havnt got any answers other than save up and get the 2.1 which i dont wanna do....can i run the stock turbo to 10 or 12 psi safely on the 1.5 or do i need the 1.7 with the 720cc secondaries
the stock injectors would be really hard pressed with that much hp.
I had a very similer setup on mine running @10psi with 4x720s. Never ran lean.
HOWEVER
IF you get any of the 1 series Rteks 1.5,1.7,1.8 you are still going to need to adjust your fuel!!!!!!!!
as stated above, the Rtek 1 series doesn't add any fuel! It just puts in the same fuel with different injectors. THAT PART IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!
Sorry, about that.
If you get the 1 series you will still need to control it with something like a SAFC. or the like. If you can get one cheap, then this will work fine. But for the money, you would still be better of with the 2.1

well how are people running there stock turbos on like 12 psi with no safc, and some people running like 1.8 with a bnr with no safc...i does up the duty cycle of the injectos correct?? i ran my 88 TII at 10 psi for a year on rtek 1.7 with no problems but i had tlfperformance 720 secondaries...i would do this setup again but i was told it was too much fuel and that i would be better with 1.5 thats y im asking...
anything over 10psi i would say port your waistgate and mod the gate door, if your running a S4 exhaust manifold port the openings where it meets the motor. i sent you a pm with a setup i was useing up to 14psi if you get it ill throw in the manifold with a mods stated.
well my wastegate is already ported im running full racing beat 3" turbo back exhaust with no boost controller and i boost a little less than 6psi in every gear so i dnt creep at all...
what were your AFRs with your 1.7? Hell people run the RB turboback all the time with the stock ecu and a Fuel cut defender. My RB did 10psi before I went to a bnr. But that was with 720x4
OK did a VERY quick search.....
