RteK 1.X injector dutycycle question

I think theres some missunderstanding about the Rtek 1.X ecu mods. I understand that each progressive mod compensates for the larger injectors by lowering the dutycycle on the fuel map. Some people however are posting that there is no diffrence in fuel supplied between a 1.5v. and say a 1.8v. based on this. Does the 1.8v. (by it self) provide more fuel under load then the 1.5v.? Running 550s maxed is bad but it seems that running 720s to put out the same amount of fuel under load is useless. Please some one help me understand this. Thank you

This is true, assuming a given set of operating conditions (boost, rpm, airflow, etc), and you are comparing a 1.5 with 550/550 and a 1.8 with 720/720.

Does the 1.8v. (by it self) provide more fuel under load then the 1.5v.?
Mostly Yes but sometimes no. Depends on the operating conditions.

Running 550s maxed is bad but it seems that running 720s to put out the same amount of fuel under load is useless.
You are forgetting about headroom. If you are running 550s at 90% DC with the stock ECU, you'd be running ~65% DC with 720 sec and a 1.7. But with the stock setup, thats it, you cant go any more. With the 1.7, you still have another 25% more DC that you can push it.

I guess then my question concerning the "head room" would be will the rteked ecu "push it " or do I have to get a piggy back to tell the Rtek ecu to push it ? As far as opperating conditions , now that the fuel cut is inop. is the computer free to opperate the injectors to max duty cycle as the maf, boost and other sensors demand ?

Thanks for the response turbo2ltr. I think what Rtek is doing with thes cars is great. I sicerely hope you guys are thriving. Im instaling a 1.8v. tommorow along with the prescribed injectors and cant wait to see how it performs. In the future Im definately going with a 2.1. Just trying to understand the 1.8 programing for now thanks
