All I can say is they set it up for me based on what I asked for. I don't know why they wouldn't want to do it to get their product out there.

A lot of these questions are answered on our website. Please 1: check your facts before you post. 2: Read our website before you ask.

Hailers: Good idea, but it won't work, at least on a data level, because there is only one serial port on the Palm, so it can only read one thing at a time.

Slo: Yes, I would, but I don't want to make it a habit of it or we'd advertise that as a service. I did it as a favor to you because you were in a stick. We are in the business of making an *adjustable* ECU, not a *customized* ECU. I really don't want people relying on us setting up the ECU, they need to be confident that they have the knowledge to be able to do it themselves or we are going to end up with a lot of blown motors. It's a liability thing.

If you don't have a Palm yet, then you should wait to send your ECU in until you do.

The timing retard in the 1.7 is described here:
http://www.pocketlogger.com/?pid=rtek7det#timing
It has nothing to do with the size of the injectors.

hIGGI: Yes. I'm pretty sure I answered this question elsewhere in this thread if you want a more detailed answer.

Wizz: Your previous post made it sound like you wanted plug-n- play like the 1.7. If you don't mind "getting your hands dirty" setting up some simple parameters, then by all means, get the 2.0. I just wanted to be clear that while the 2.0 is easy to set up, it's not as plug-n-play as the 1.7.

I think that answers everyone's questions....until tomorrow..

I do realize the 1.7 pulls timing above 9psi. I don't mind "tinkering" with settings. I'm just concerned about me setting it correctly. It is the split timing I'm worried about. So if I were to pull 1 deg per 1psi above 9, would I pull leading AND trailing, or leading, this is where I turn dumb. Maybe someone could post useful links for "tuning" sites or explain it.

Man! I wish they would hurry up and make a sub section for RTek. All these questions would be in there.

Not only have they not created a subforum (which they said they would do a month ago) they let my banner ad expire last night even though I already paid for it until the end of April.

I second those requests. There are so many posts that this continually gets pushed away from the first page. They have an AEM forum that gets far fewer responses that this and yet that subforum remains. And then, drop the banner early, that's a shame. Somebody made a boo boo! In return, to redeem themselves, the subforum should be created TOMORROW!!!!!!.

We're going to do a compression test to get a baseline on this car. In a couple of weeks it will go to Enhanced Street Performance for a tranny rebuild. While there we will have them dyno the car to get a baseline on where we stand right now. Then we will start to play with the Rtek fuel maps. I still want to understand the timing retard that was in the Rtek 1.7.

I'll have to spend some time perusing the Digital Tuning web site to see what I can find. Have any of you Rtek 2.0 owners tweaked anything yet?

Come on Rtek 2.0 owners, are you all asleep? We need to be more "active" if we are going to get our own subforum! Please post any results that you have from your log files. Let's get this rolling!

I'm guessing all the RTek owners are waiting for the sub section to be made. So there isn't 10 million RTek threads everywhere. Oops too late.

Yes we got the banner back. No word on the sub forum. I keep hearing "it will get done".. Not sure what the holdup is, but we have our own board with an Rtek forum. Feel free to post there.

It's only open to customers so theres no BS and I check it much more often than here.

Or just post in the engine management forum. Who needs a subforum? It's not like there are hundreds of threads...yet.
