Max PSI on boost sensor?

I know I've seen it before, but I can't find it. What is the max pressure reading the stock S4 map sensor will read up to? I have logs going up to 15.2, but will it actually log to 16psi?

I wonder if there is a way to run an aftermarket map sensor or if there is plans for one?

14.7 is as far as it's designed for.

It might measure more than that in the logs but i don't think the stock computer knows about it.

In the Rtek maps it has a setting for 15.9psi.

stock FD boost sensor actually reads up to 17psi, so it makes sense that the FD boost sensor reads a little more than 2 bar of MAP

2 bar is 29.4 psi

So that's great that the FD has a 2 bar MAP sensor. The FC only has a 1 bar MAP sensor. Last time I checked the Rtek is only for the FC (86-92) Rx-7

MAP sensors are rated in MAP--that is, ABSOLUTE pressure. You are thinking in terms of relative pressure (pressure greater than atmospheric). When you are talking absolute pressure, it is boost pressure + 1 bar.

2 bar MAP sensor = ~1 bar of boost=~14.5 psi boost. The FD has a 2 bar sensor (although it does read a little more than that). So does the FC. Why would people upgrade to Denso or GM 3 bar MAP sensors on FD's if the factory one could read up to 28psi of boost?

The NA has a 1 bar (-1bar to zero). The turbo has a 2 bar (-1 bar to +1 bar).
