Limitations of 2.1

Hey guys, I'm rebuilding now within the next short while. I plan to use an Rtek 2.1 for my car. My question is, what are the restrictions of Rtek when it comes to performance? Will it be able to support a setup like this;
GT35R (or similar sized turbo)
9.7 rotors
Air to water intercooler (or small FMIC)
WI
15 psi @ 2700-3300 RPM
~350whp on low boost ~400whp on high boost.

These are just some of my goals/ambitions, basically just building a really quick spooling street car for some occasional auto x, drifting and the occasional strip run over the summer.

If not, what would I have to do to make it work (or is it not even worth it at all)? Because I'd like to retain the functionality and reliability of a stock car and not have to shell out $700+ for a complicated standalone.

There are a few people on the board that dynoed 350 at the wheels with an Rtek.

The limitation I see is if you plan to run more than 15PSI, you are not going to be able to adjust fuel or timing past 15 psi. It will just hold the fuel and timing from the last cell in the map no matter how much past 15 psi you go.

I'd say, "Go for it!"

I think would be pushing the limits, but ~400 RWHP has been done on a RTEK.

The injector sizing can be limited. The Rtek only has 550x550, 550x720, and 720x720 injector settings, so you'd want to go with like 800cc x 1000cc injectors.

I've been running 680x1000s with no problems and tuning it myself albiet very slowly. Using the Palm for all tuning can be a bitch, but it is easy to hot sync and review the logs on the computer. Inputting fuel corrections and timing values in the maps takes time, but considering you don't have to plug in settings just to get the car running/started, your already ahead of the game.

The biggest problem/issue with a gt35r setup would be the AFM(Air Flow Meter) restricting flow and it's ability to correctly calculate the amount of air flow because you would most likely MAX it out and the maps only go to like 15psi. Like I said though it has been done, but you would be pushing the limits. I like to see more done on less. Good luck!

I totally missed this. I wish I had time to browse the rest of the forum. I usually stick just to the Rtek forum..

That's the highest HP I've heard on an Rtek.

Indeed, if only there was some way to duplicate his afm performance.....or delete it altogether

I think I will try my 35R build with an Rtek and if things go too roughly, I'll switch out to something else (Haltech Platinum Sprint RE). But regardless, I will try to keep the Rtek and will post logs of everything I can.
