Hook up and no setup menu

First off let me start this off by saying never buy a tungsten t3. The battery life is very very low. I have to upgrade the battery, to have something half decent. Other then that, the backlight and colour is very nice.

I made the first connection to my n332 rtek 2.1 today. According to the instructions, upon the first connection to the ecu a setup menu was initiated. Well when I plugged mine in nothing happened. I went into "tune", "menu", "setup ecu".

Now is this a big deal? I set up everything and went to save the settings and response was setup is not finished. I didn't want to start the car just in case I missed something?

Tomorrow I will try resetting the ecu to see if that does it. But just looking for some ideas before I start the day out.

On a side note. Tuning 750/1000 should be fun!

You are thinking too much into it. If you previously ran the software before connecting to the car, it might not jump to the ECU setup screen (and it will never again), so you did the right thing in going there manually. There is nothing to save, all changes are made and saved to the ECU in realtime. I'm not sure what you are referring to with the "setup not finished" thing. I can't think of any errors along those lines.
