air intake temp readings? ver. 2.0

ok soo i switched to the fd uim and converted to the fd ait sensor and now my readings are in the 200's withc is impossible so i was wondering is the fd ait different then the tII? i wouldnt think so. or could it be i just wired it backwards? idk, any suggestions are welcome thanx.

yes, if the computer thinks 200degree air is coming in its gonna retard timing and prolly increase fuel. but im sure its gonna pull hella timing

Sorry I missed this one. The FD is completley different. Do NOT use the FD sensor.

Go to the third gen forum and download the FSM and you'll see that for yourself.

well can i use it temperarily? what problelme will it cause? is it better just too leave it unplugged untill i get a fc one and drill and tap it in?

High AIT temps will cause timing to be retarded so its on the safe side but you really should just fix it. It can't be wired backwards btw.

ok thanks alot henrik so i unplugged it yesterday and in diagnostic mod it tells me its unplugged witch is normal and ait are at 67.5 while logging i guess thats the default temp but its probly alot better then 200+. also i feel no change in driving after it was unplugged thanx for your help guys
