Another How much HP thread (1.8)

Sorry to do this, I know its been asked many times before, but I didnt see anything about Rtek 1.8. I was wondering in general, a guess at what sort of hp numbers 4x 720cc injectors would be good for. I plan on going BNR Stage3 or maybe a Stage 4 and running maybe 10-12psi. Im guessing this with my other mods would be good for near 300whp-325whp. Will an Rtek 1.8 be suffecient for this plan? Or would it help to maybe go SAFCII and 1000cc secondaries? Im trying to go cheap as I can, but not so cheap as to risk possible problems. I know its not always the same for every car, but just give me a good guess. Thanks

As the other guys have said you should get the 2.0. The 1.8 does compensate for 720cc secondary and primay injectors, but it runs them like a stock fueling map. There is also no way to adjust fuel ot timing. This is why everyone will tell you to buy the 2.0 with an upgraded turbo. You can adjust fuel and timing with this version, and I believe that the update to version 2.1 will be out soon.

So a 1.8 with SAFC or some other type of fuel controller wouldnt be enough? Well what good is the 1.7 and 1.8 if you cant even run a hybrid turbo at low boost. Sorry I bought it now.

Does the 2.0 come with base map loaded? Id guess it would.

The 2.0 has stock fueling when it comes from us. No need for a basemap.

You can apply $100 from the 1.7 or 1.8 to the purchase of a 2.0.

people have done it with piggybacks, upwards of 400WHP but alot of power is lost because of the inability to tune timing curves and the variances between gear changes that i seem to notice while trying to tune piggybacks to their full potential

cheap may get the job done but it will be just as expensive to get there.

yes i know that made no sense but it sure sounded all smart n stuff.
