Brand new 93-95 FD engine harness for sale...

Well... We ordered an engine harness for a project a while back and ended up not using it.

The harness is complete and brand new! All the connectors are complete, nothing has been modified. I only opened the box to take a picture. This is the most recent, updated part number by Mazda, it will fit 93, 94 or 95 models.

It costs $1077 from the dealer. It can be yours for $875...

How often do these things go bad? How would I know if it's bad?

When the one you have is so damn crispy that it isn't pliable anymore.

When replacing the engine on a high mile car we sometimes replace the harness also. With time and severe under hood temps the original harnesses and connectors will sometimes fall apart...

OK. My car has 88888 on it now. Weird I know. It is at my mechanic as I type getting a rebuild. Is there something I should look for other than "crispy" Will I see certain electrical signs. I have an Apexi FC in it right now. If it is something I need then this is a good price.

if everything breaks... not bends... when you attempt to bend it. the wiring itself has cracked insulation, and your connectors break every time you try to remove one.

common signs you own an fd... i mean that you need a new harness.

Nothing worse than the frustration of working under a hood and everything cracking when you touch it. A new harness just feels and smells so nice Replacing them is practically routine maintenance for a FD.

Given mileage and age, I'd recommend replacing it. If you have a problem with the wiring for your fuel injectors or your crank angle sensors, it can lead to the failure of your expensive new engine

Ihor and I install new engine wiring harnesses in the majority of our rebuilds, provided it's within the owner's budget.

Usually it's just the outer layers that are "crispy" and all the wiring insulation itself is fine.

however the connectors will fail over time, that's usually when I decide to replace a harness.

Ari what does a body harness cost for a 93 FD? I might be needing to order one soon.
