It seems when I try to shift faster my pinche gears start to grind. I know I can shave off some time there. I think maybe a short throw shifter will help too and of course a clutchless, but I can't afford that right now. I have spent so much money and I can think of about another million things I need to do/get to for my car.
It's never ending is it?
Sound good.....you get a 7.6 if you 2 step the Rx2 at the light....hey
you got a strong rear end and tranny so....just hit the throttle and
let it bounce off the limiter.......9K or so and dump the clutch......
If the rx2 still bogs a bit and Rpm drop raise the air pressure just a bit to
compensate(Getto slipper clutch i mean slipper tire).....just keep them Rpm's high at your peak shifts....damn carbon seals.

He is very cool and I get along really good with him- he also is a mechanic like me and knows his ****, but knows nothing about rotaries. I'm trying to convert him but with no luck. And I also school my old lady and she is very slowly learning but you know how it is, in one ear out the other when it comes to car stuff and old ladies.
It's better that way though.
The less they know the better, especially when it comes to prices on parts.
nice run & it sounds wicked... next time tape down the zoom button or practice on some "home videos" before you let her behind the camera... If that don't work, then beat her with the camera strap...take it from me, it works!!

Aaron, next time I'm letting my dad video tape, he's better. I also want to try to get an inside video and a video from the back. Sorry, no loco cam or edrick cam- those are my favorites on grs.

Small update. I finally bit the bullet and bought another MSD 6al and installed it today. So I have leading with direct fire/wastespark and trailing thru the cap. Now, I actually have my rev limitter/two step at 10,200. This should put my 60fters down a notch. I also had my distributer locked courtesy of Rene at Renemotorsports- Thanks Rene. I tested my limiter today in my garage at 10.2k and it works perfect- I'm sure I pissed off a couple of my neighbors but it was only for a second and in the middle of the day.
Next week I'm taking my car down to get a custom NHRA certified scattershield made and then I'm off to the dragstrip again in hopes to beat my PB. Here's a couple of pics.

Ito, I just had two bad ignitors lying around so I gutted the insides out and soldered the 4 connections on the inside so to make basically one big connector out of a ignitor- Makes for a real clean install as you can see.
