WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! Just got back from racing. I did it! second pass I went 7.95 at 86mph and my pass after that I went 7.83 at 87mph!!!! I am so stoked. Who says West coast Cali guys aren't consistant? I got over 30 hard passes on this motor and everytime I have gone out I have improved my time. I went from 9.7 to a 7.83 and I know there's even more to be had but I am very happy with my little 12abp for now. I have vid, and yes I pulled the front wheels off the ground. Here's the slips.

take a close look at the video, its not mine......someone edit Himself.

I have no problem with with my rx7,i ran the numbers....if you think i am scared to
say that my Rx7 is fast,i wouldn't mine lining it up with padilla and have a match race,if
that satisfies your fantasy.......

I don't talk smack like others....I race and have been racing for many years......i wanna see you do the same....run the numbers and walk the walk.

GOOD JOB JAY....Run Mannyvidal when he comes out i'll be there to see .....

Allen, you mean from the camera? I tell you what after that last pass it felt like I came up 3-4 feet and when I look at the video I'm like what? Maybe a couple of inches.

Manny, true that- the car launches pretty damn straight eh?

Well, my old lady was taking the vids. When she missed my time on the first 7 second pass I almost threw her. On the 7.83 pass she just got back from the bathroom and missed the burnout and almost missed the pass.
NOTE TO ONESELF: Don't let the old lady videotape.

BTW, burnout worked great. I just left it in 3rd gear with the line lock and dumped the clutch at 7000 and roasted the tires for about 8 seconds and then coasted forward. I must make a confession that I edited out from the video. On my very first pass I was so nervous on using the line lock that after my burnout I forgot to put her back in first gear and I launched in third gear. Needless to say I limped back to the pits with my tail between my leggs. LOL
