Well I went to the track tonight and I have some bad news and good news. The bad news is that I waited two hours to get my first run in and my clutch slave cylinder popped out part way and my clutch went to the floor off the line and then it popped back in for part of first and second gear then totally was gone. I had to get towed back to my trailer and then I tried to fix the slave by shimming but the piston seal got cut in half and I was dead in the water. All that time and money and no runs. The scattershield that I bought did not have a cuttout for the slave to mount flush, so I had to grind a notch out so the slave cylinder would fit. Well I guess I didn't grind down enough and my rod was a little short and the piston came out and hit the scattershield and popped out. So I need to notch out the scattershield a little more and get a new slave cylinder and make an adjustable rod.

Good news. Last time I raced I did not have a rev limiter. Tonight I had one and it saved my motor because I had the gas pedal to the floor and the clutch never engaged. I hit the reve limiter 3 times on the run tonight and it saved my motor. So I guess I'm lucky I only have to throw down 40 bucks for a new slave cylinder.

What sucks is that alot of my friends and fellow rotarholics were there to watch and I didn't even get one pass in. Sorry guys. I'll be out next thursday. I guess it's all part of racing.

I call it a visit, he calls it snooping, maybe he should build a shop underground and lock himself in there so nobody snoops
About the 3 rotor, If it aint a drag project, I dont care too much for it, It did look good with those extra intake ports added to it

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm sticking with Carb/all motor for awhile- meets my budget. What's up with your car? You better not be calling it quits!!!!!

. Yeah, I went over last night to check it out and he was a long way from finishing so I gave him a hand. He had plenty of helpers though and was planning on taking the car today to race in Las Vegas. I wonder if he got it together in time. If it was a drag car I would have stayed all night and helped until it was finished but since it was just a drift car I just pulled the race seat and steering wheel and took off. - Just kidding Rene.

How did it go Rene? Was it a good event? I'll have to go see you race when you get your 3 rotor up and running.

Ok, I got a couple of passes in last night. My best time was a 7.86 at 87mph. As you can probably hear, my engine is running rich because I changed my exhaust around and jetted rich to be safe. I didn't have enough time to play around with jetting because it was so packed last night so I just practiced my launching off the rev limiter at 10,200. I got my best 60ft of a 1.57, but I know there is plenty of room for improvement. I think I have to bump my tire pressure up a little because even launching at 10,200 I still get just a little hesitation, but as you can see in the vid it moved out alot better than before. I had a really good run after this run but I shifted from 2 to 5th gear and still managed a 8.3 at 75mph- that felt like an 7.7 pass. Here is the vid of the 7.86 pass. My dad missed the ET because of the stupid sign, but you can see the mph.

Thank Joe. I have a few tweaks here and there that I am going to do before the next outing and I should be able to improve my time a bit. When are you going to bring your rx7 out again?
